Crazy Jerry from buffalo,ny.

Jerry was legand where ever he lived DC,Baltimore,Wny ,New York city,Toronto, spectato

Last seen him play at Pocketeer Billiards in West Seneca around 93. I defer to Cardiac regarding his whereabouts today.

Jerry played beautifully, but had serious problems for sure. He was a legend in WNY.

Now Crazy Frank is another store altogether. Total shark -- and in the worse sense, unfortunately. Fine 1P player, though. And ultimate card mechanic too. Frank taught me a couple things, primarily of which was the importance of center ball. He ran the old Hertel Pocket Billiards for a time, but it closed when a gentrification project took root on Hertel.

Certainly the Hatch's were/art pool royalty (if there is such a thing) in Buffalo, along with DiLiberto obviously. But don't forget about Carl Galante, too. As an room owner he really has been a linchpin for the game ove the last 30 years. While the players moved from Carl's joint to what is today Bison Billiards, Carl is still the best pool promoter (along with Norm Skulski) in WNY in my opinion.

And since I'm drifting so off-topic, I'm shutting up now

Jerry was legand where ever he lived DC,Baltimore,Wny ,New York city,Toronto, spectators like to see players that shoot and win for the big dollars.

I think the best person to ask abt Jerry is ,Mike Sigel, Sigel has won over 102 major

Does anyone remember him? He ran around with fat Wayne and came to my home poolroom in Ocean City in the 80's. He would go to the corner of the poolroom stand there facing the wall after missing a shot. He was nuts!

I think the best person to ask abt Jerry is ,Mike Sigel, Sigel has won over 102 major pool tournaments, including 3 US Open Nine-ball Championship tournaments and 5 world pocket billiard championship titles. they had classic Nine-ball and straight pool match's.

I played Jerry in the mid Eighties in Baltimore.

Played him at Mack's a black poolroom.

Mack called the downtown poolroom looking for someone to come and rescue the poolroom. Jerry had everyones' money.

Dan Janes was working at the downtown poolroom and handed me the phone.
I said I would be right over. I asked Dan if he wanted any part of the bet (he was in with me a lot) and he said no. "Jerry's a real good player".

I walked in Macks and Mack came running over to me with money in his hand and said it was all he had left. I said "keep it and bet on the side" I will bet my own.

We started playing 9 ball for 200 a game. The second game he asked to raise it to 400. I said OK.

After I had him pretty good loser he asked to play one pocket.
We started playing for 800 a game. He had no chance.

When it was all over it was late in the evening. About 1:00 AM. I was 6800. winner and asked Mack to have someone walk me to my car. He sent someone with a gun.

Great place Macks. Still miss those days.
