Well, I was going to say that making comments in the Chat Room, when Danny can read it is kind of hurtful. But, if he was making pronouncements toward that Chinese player like that and it got back to him, then that was also hurtful.
He might get the impression that everyone in the USA is like that.

as new to the streams couple years ago i thought it was just the stream liek it was an old drunk guy just tlking shit then i see he is hired to commentate its nothing short of a disgrace
few reasons why:
goes off on random stories that dont make sense
thinks the break is 9 ball is not a factor
doesnt have the decency to learn how to pronounce someones name
knowledge? its outdated, calls lot of the wrong shots, doenst seem to know the modern game
several times he has been blatantly offending players especially asian players
doesnt know how to have a professional relationship in the booth, he talks over people, doent speak when he is suppose to
its just a hot mess

I played Danny in 76' at the room in North Miami. He was a great all around player.

I like Danny. He is 80 years old and his mind is still sharp. Is he polished as an announcer? No. Are some of his idea's about the sport such as the break not being a factor a little outdated? Probably. But, he is a treasure to the game that should be cherished. I personal enjoy his stories especially about players from the past but I've always liked hearing about the history of the game.
If there were lots of money to pay announcing on streams then the quality would improve. I understand he is an acquired taste, but I think he does reserve some respect as a player and hall of famer and if you really listen he has some nuggets in his commentary.
