Darren is posting on Facebook that Ralf is forfeiting as he can't change his China flight and Shane is taking his place. Is this true?

Yes cos only Shane and Ralf are top with 2 win 1 loss in group. Ralf supposed to play cos he beat Shane in head to head. Now Ralf is out Shane plays

Well I supposed to Ralf World Team Championship is more important ..more prestigious and better prizemoney

…for Team Germany. Would've liked to see Ralf (although I also love Shane's game) – cause he's such a good thinker in 8-Ball.

Usually most sports would award walkover
Maybe the organisers gather that audience want to see another rematch between Shane v Ko LOL
Thing now is Shane has to play 2 Kos. Even if he beats Pin Yi he has to beat Ping Chung

Maybe Ko also fed up why this guy Shane always playing with him
So he has plane to catch also to China (which is true since he has to rush to World Team Championship also) so he forfeit then who play? Then it will be Appleton but Appleton also have to catch plane to World Team. Then who next? Like Buste will play then or maybe the best finisher from other group :D This is bit of a mess
 
Ping Chung

My prediction for the 8ball is Ping Chung, regardless of who he plays in the finals. I like how he's playing and breaking, and after playing in the finals in the 10ball event he can only get better. He will use his experience from the 10ball to carry him over in the 8ball finals. I thought he was a little preoccupied with something in the 10ball finals because of how sharply his speed dropped against his older brother Pin Yi. Imo that won't happen again and I look for him to play with much more inspiration. But of course it won't be easy whomever he plays, Pin or Shane.

Agree with that prediction.. Momentum is with Baby Ko. The kid is unstoppable.

Ko PIn Yi should go straight to finals if Souquet doesn't play.
Shane was knocked out already, and Souquet knew the schedule
how could he have a flight booked for before the tournament he is in
is over. Pool makes me shake my head, once again.

This is not right at all. Shane lost out of the event. This second life is a freeroll for Shane and all of the pressure is on Ko.

This was a terrible decision and not fair to Ko at all.

Plus, Ralf already earned 3rd-4th place money. Does he still get the money for a 3rd-4th place finish? If so, does Shane now also get 3rd-4th place money if he loses to Pin-Yi?
