CSI'S US Open Pro Events: 1 Pocket, 10 Ball & 8 Ball current player list (fully paid)

It's about 3 weeks away from CSI's US Open Pro Events and you can check out the players paid and registered already here: http://playbca.com/Events/2013USOpenProEvents.aspx I tried to attach it as excel file so it will be easier to scan over, but I'm just not that computer savvy... got an error message...file being too large to attach or something :sorry:

The list is for those who have paid in full. There have many who'd expressed interest to play but unless their entry fee has been processed their name will not appear on the list. So far for US Open 1 Pocket 42 entered out of 64 (July 17-20), 10 Ball has 60 out of 96 (July 19-23) and 8 Ball 54 out of 96 (July 23-27) as of today 29 June.

Having said that there are many spots available. So if you been thinking of giving it a try, you can definitely do so. You can sign up online here: http://playbca.com/Events/2013BCAPLNationalChampionships/2013BCAPLEntryForms.aspx Unless the event is full you can sign up until the night before the event.

I will most likely stop by to sweat some of the one pocket, it is my favorite for one pocket. Glad to see the numbers are looking much like last years and possibly even better. :)

I need a steakhorse or a sponsor. I've been playing every day, in preparation, and I'd like to attend all three events. Need entry, plus travel expenses. Lemme know if interested.

But, Lenny can you share with me where you're getting the info that "the numbers are looking much like last years and possibly even better" ???

I happen to have 'insight' to the CSI data base and the record shows me last year about 3 weeks prior to the event US Open 10 Ball's entries were close to full. 83 to be exact out of 96 with many more begging to hold their spot cause money was on the way.

We are hoping they are just procrastinating and hopefully we will have ton of players sign up at the minutes but we will see.

One thing for sure, I will be keep updating the numbers and also comparison to past year's attendance when time comes.

Thank you! We are quite excited to see many new international stars attending the CSI's US Open Pro Events.

All pro events will be streamed live by TAR - www.theactionreport.com on PPV but if you're at the Rio Convention Center, you can watch it for free! There will be no admission fee unless you want purchase the VIP seat. Also the stream will be fed into the hotel guests for free as well!

There will be a row of VIP sitting close to the table - those are not free.

However, there will be limited seats on benches / risers - first come first serve. Of course standing room, take all you want ;)

It looks to me like the one pocket is already about where it was at go time last year so that turnout might actually end up being better. The 8 ball is in its first year but I would expect it fill up or get close to it just as the ten ball. I do believe it is procrastination plus the players trying to figure out if they can work scheduling to play there and also a 3 hour Bonus Ball match. I believe Mark said they were going to try and figure out a way for it to work, if so that is great and good for the players who want to play in these from the ones I spoke to.
 
No Corey Deuel or Earl Strickland? I hope they sign up, especially for the 8 ball because I might be able to attend that event

1 Pocket is where it was last year about this time, but not any better. US Open 10 Ball was full last year and hopefully this year's 10 Ball and 8 Ball will fill up.

As for players waiting to see if schedules can work out... Mark already spoke to them and told them how it is.

Thorsten Holmann and Ralf Souquet came to CSI office if they could play their BB matches and have us work around them.

What Mark promised was he can work around their BB matches ONLY during first day of the draw. Not in the middle of the tournament because we cannot predict the outcome and hold winner side and loser side of bracket. I know matches can be held in small bracket tournaments but not when you have 3 major tournaments running back to back some over lapping each other. We run matches about every 1.5 hours. Thorsten asked to avoid noon to 3 on 20 & 21 which is 2 & 3 days deep into the tournament. Now with traffic and such realistically it's 5 hours 11-4. It could easily delay several rounds just trying to work around handful of players playing BB that day. It is simply impossible because CSI's US Open Events run on rented space with finish dead lines. It just ins' that simple!

Well that makes sense and its good to hear, perhaps if a player is deep into it then they will use an alternate who might also be in town. Best to always find solutions to things whenever possible.

Realistically, I don't see BB players bringing in 'WEAKER' (maybe by skills or due to lack of practicing or competing in the arena) alternate when the season is so close to the end with such a large bonus pot at stake.

I really hope there is a solution for this...:frown:

Well the alternates have to play 1 or 2 matches I do believe so I feel some will be used during that time.
