I guess you missed my post suggesting that Landon could help you & another in your area that was asking for help, if Stan could not make the trip.

My only caution is that there is no proof that CTE is a totally objective 'system'.

If that is for which you are looking, you may be disappointed.

It wasn't a challenge, my intent was to provide a challenging potting test with a nice range of shots, as a means of determining one's relative accuracy. It still remains a fair test I think.

And you were potting very well at that time Dave. Hat's off to you!

CTE's centers and edges don't align you with the cut angle - you do that yourself, by estimating how much to adjust from the nearest centers-and-edges alignment. (Yes, I know you don't believe that.)

Pretending estimations don't exist doesn't eliminate them; it just makes them invisible to you. So not only are you trying to estimate an "invisible" cut angle, you're making the estimation itself invisible to you.

Brumback gave tips that can be taken to the table and explained what they do. He didn't jump around in a tutu claiming that Efren and Mosconi used his methods without knowing, nor did he say anything else that could be questioned.

Almost all of what you stated regarding video is incorrect.

Objectivity & subjectivity are of an abstract nature. They can not be seen on a video & hence a video is not proof of either.

Other things are of a physical nature & CAN be seen both in real life & on video.

I never said it. I have Brumback's video and don't question it. I have many videos and never question them. I try it and learn the techniques and sometimes it doesn't work so it's abandoned, but the videos could be beneficial to others. You've done none of this with CTE.

You can't have it both ways. If Brumback's banking videos are beneficial and prove how to bank effectively, YOU with all of your knowledge of CTE and big mouth should be able to do a 3 minute video on just ONE SHOT explaining the visual you're using on the shot...whether it's manual CTE or PRO 1...and PROVE TO THE WORLD OF POOL what's being taught is a sham.

PROVE IT, not in drivel words but on the table. You've made monstrous strides in your long 10 years of playing pool.

Make a 3 minute video and PROVE IT. You can do it if you apply yourself, CHAMP.

The difference is with Brumbacks videos, #1, it passes the smell test when viewing. An intuitive, "that makes sense".
#2, its described in a way that is understandable. You can know what he is doing.
#3. It is repeatable. You take it to the table, and can replicate what he did.

With the CTE, there are a million versions of it, and only the CTE fanatics "understand" it. It is impossible to describe so that other can reproduce it.
