CTE for Top USA pros

Now, where's the evidence to back up the ridiculous claims you folks have made?

Send barton out my way so he can sell cases and give me cash.

I'm an apa 3, i just got demoted.

I'm sure JB would love to do just that. What's your real name...email address and phone # to contact...and what pool room do you play out of?

Evidence comes from live human beings pocketing balls and DOING EXACTLY WHAT STAN AND THE VIDEOS TEACH YOU TO DO!

Math on paper isn't the defining evidence regardless of the system because NOBODY could determine what shot angle they have on ANY SHOT and NOBODY CARES to think about such a moronic thought in the heat of battle.

So forget Stan doing videos. HERE'S EVIDENCE FROM AN AMATEUR JUST LIKE YOURSELF WHO HAD NO PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF CTE UNTIL THE DVDS CAME OUT POCKETING BALLS AND EXPLAINING EXACTLY WHAT HE'S USING AND DOING:

OK, YOUR TURN. DO IT THE WAY HE ILLUSTRATES IT ON YOUTUBE IN ONE 3 MINUTE VIDEO WITH ANY SHOT OF YOUR CHOICE AND PROVE THAT IT
DOESN'T WORK AS TAUGHT!

The difference is with Brumbacks videos, #1, it passes the smell test when viewing. An intuitive, "that makes sense".
#2, its described in a way that is understandable. You can know what he is doing.
#3. It is repeatable. You take it to the table, and can replicate what he did.

With the CTE, there are a million versions of it, and only the CTE fanatics "understand" it. It is impossible to describe so that other can reproduce it.

There's Stan's entire marketing mistake. He forgot to add the smell of a rose garden to each video!

So in other words, you can do each of the banks Brumback has on his video and make them each time without fail, correct? You've made videos before and kudos for doing them. Make a video of yourself shooting each one of those banks on the DVD with no editing.

Forget the other versions because there's only ONE that matters and that's Stan's two DVDs and youtube videos.

How much time and effort have to put into those two DVDs and can you explain the visuals to be able to shoot balls into pockets like this:

No, Stan's mistake is not one of marketing. If there are SO MANY people who do not know what he is teaching, then the problem is with the teaching technique. He has to improve his methods of teaching.

This is of course assuming the subject matter is real.

Now, of course not everyone can learn calculus. But, when you take a group of very intelligent people and stick them in a calculus class, enough of them will learn it that the calculus itself is legit, and the teaching method is also legit.

Here, in this CTE 20 year drama, you have had the entire slice of the pool population try CTE. From bangers, to top pros. Only a very tiny fraction have claimed they can do it. And the other fraction say this is rediculous, does not make any sense, etc.

Furthermore, of those fraction that claim they can do CTE, they are all doing it a different way!!! Its not even the same thing. That, I suspect, is why Stan has systematically rebranded the CTE that he teaches into the term "Real CTE", so he can distance himself from the "fake" CTE, which might be the one you, Spider, uses for all we know.

This same circle jerk type of posting has gone on for 20 years and it's sickening already.

Please explain why the subject matter is not real and just be HONEST and answer the question asked of you:

ARE YOU SAYING THIS ISN'T REAL?? HE'S DOING IT JUST AS IT'S TAUGHT IN THE DVDs:

I don't have the first DVD, only the second. I watched the dvd twice (think it was 2 disks, I forget) in late 2013 or early 2014. I spent maybe 2 days on the table trying some of the shots. I also called Stan, and had a really nice conversation with him.

After fooling around with it, some of the shots went right in, and others missed by diamonds. It just didn't make sense to me.

Furthermore, some of the first points on the dvd made absolutely no logic. The one that the table is 2x1 and therefore all the shots connect. That is the cornerstone of the system, according to the dvd #2, and it is a ridiculous notion, imo. I had a hard time going on through the dvd after listening to that.

Note, I have not watched the dvd since, so I might have some things slightly wrong, but that's how I remember it now.

Also, before I had the DVD, probably around 2010 or so, I tried several of the written versions of CTE from these very forums. I even went to the pool hall before I had my table, with my still camera (no video then), set up the shots, and recorded my results. Again, some shots went in, others missed by diamonds. It too, made no sense.

PS, I made a thread against CTE users for the US Open in the Action room, if any of you guys want to make a wager... Its on the first page of the action room.

Two big mistakes as I see it. 2 days of table time doesn't even scratch the surface of RETRAINING the EYE ALIGNMENTS TO THE OB AND CB as well as NOT INTEGRATING anything else you've learned and done with aiming over the years.

Forget the written material by others. If you want written material wait for Stan's book to come out next year.

Since you haven't delved back into it for over 2 years I'd say CTE just isn't for you and that's OK. No problem.

But unlike the other knockers on here, please don't be a lemming and follow in their footsteps because most of them have NEVER even tried learning the material from the DVD. Show some sense and sensibility.
You seem like a decent guy in most other respects.

Fair enough. But the reason I did not stick with it, after trying it for an admittededly short while was:
1. It did not make intuitive sense
2. It did not make the shots

If it had done any of these better, I think I would have given it more time.

For example, if one receives the instruction they are not getting draw because they are not hitting the CB low enough, the player might not believe the instruction. But, then if they do a simple test like mark the CB, they will see that yes, indeed, the hit was not where they thought. Then when the player finally does make the chalk mark low on the CB, it magically draws back a mile. This is something that is observable, and replica table.

Anyway, I'm bowing out. This shit takes too much energy.

Well, back to the same things I said previously. Not enough subject matter understood and absorbed and not even close to enough table time.
How long do you think it would take to memorize everything there is to know and become an expert at with the DIAMOND SYSTEM? 2 days of watching a video and then 2 days of table time? Could that be reasonably expected?

In the beginning it does NOT make intuitive sense and didn't for me either with Hal. It was bizarre but balls started going in and I couldn't figure out what was making them go in since it was so different with eye and ball alignment.

Sounds like a lot more work and effort might go into learning how to get draw on the CB as opposed to the same with CTE.

It takes too much energy for EVERYBODY. I'm sick of this crap especially from the same cast of characters, over and over and over again ad nauseam!

Sooooo..

Got any real evidence for all of the claims that have been made or do you just want to regurgitate old junk from a semi-pro. Go look up Schmidt to get a video response.

If by smell of roses, you meant facts, then yes.

I play pool, i don't waste time making videos for internet champs.

There is no minor league of pool like baseball where you have a semi-pro designation. It's either amateur or pro. He's an amateur just like you only a hell of a lot BETTER because of CTE. And THERE'S YOUR FACT!!

While you're "playing pool" like 14.1, just set your phone up to video one of your awesome runs.

You don't waste time making videos, you run and hide like a scared rabbit from doing it. Typical forum troll big mouth response.

Hey, you forgot to post the info for JB when he's in your neck of the woods selling cases. What's your real name, email and phone #, and room where you play?

Cat got your tongue again?

I've tossed out offers to play JB, but i never get much action from D players, so ive always expected the non-answer and more obnoxious barking.

Why do you need my personal information when you can't even answer the nagging question of where all of this evidence is for the made-up claims. Go on and provide that solid evidence and then we can move on. Otherwise, it's just more crying and side-stepping. Unless you want to admit it was all lying to get sales, then I'll stop asking about it.

D players?? LMAO. That's perfect. Then both of you can play dead even. You're more than familiar with obnoxious barking since you do it all the time.

Why are you so terrified of even listing your real name, what pool room you play at,
or a way to be contacted if somebody is traveling to your neck of the woods who would play? My name is Dave Segal, what's yours? No name...surely the moves of a forum TROLL who likes to hide behind the keyboard and shoot the big mouth off and pretend he's some sort of great player. 10 long years of playing after starting late in life, huh? Yep, you know it all by now. Funny how nobody has seen any posts of you discussing these gems and secrets.

No dude, you're the one side stepping like a scared little rabbit. Evidence is right in my last two posts from just one individual who is an amateur just like you. He's at the table demonstrating all the evidence a person with half a brain could clearly see.
He doesn't get any kickback from sales nor a business partner with Stan.

You get on the table and make a video with ONE CUT SHOT of your choice as you call out the visual you're using and take the shot. You'll actually want to miss instead of make it. If you happen to make it you'll prove it works. If you miss, you can then describe why it doesn't work. Probably will take no more than 3 minutes.

No proof from you on the table, you're nothing but a TROLL with a big mouth. But we already know that.

Are you actually going to be there this time, or are you going to make another forum member waste their time going to a pool hall where nobody even knew who you were?

Every time there is a debate about aiming systems it always brings me back to this conversation with John Schmidt and Corey Deuel:

https://youtu.be/u8KsVm9ePlk?t=24m27s

Some systems will work for you and some won't.
If only to provide a little contrast on this being an US v THEM type of discussion, I don't think John or Corey know enough about the topics to make the blanket statements they did... well, especially what John said.

But they were asked a question and said some of their thoughts.

None of which hadn't been considered by the nerdiest of nerds who have followed such topics for years.
