Why does anyone continue to interact with this clown? He clearly has no idea what he's talking about. And that's fine, some people deserve to be in the dark. He's not smart enough to figure out how to use it and obviously has no real plans of trying, so who cares what he thinks? I know everyone wants to "be right" and prove CTE is great, but this guy is not worth your time.
Yeah, I decided to put him on ignore. After his post about the evils of the commercially branded world, I realized he was a crackpot. My bad.
Almost everyone of his posts, I'm reminded of an XO I used to have when I was in the service. We were having a inspection by him one day, and he was down in the bilge checking for cleanliness. He had on an old pair of tennis shoes. His feet were sticking out from under a pipe, and he actually gigged us for having an old pair of tennis shoes in the bilge during inspection! No one had the guts to tell him to his face that they were on his feet.
The same XO was somewhat of a genius. He could plot our position in his head faster than the computer could do it. He could draw the entire piping tab of the whole boat from memory. In fact, he made the piping tab booklet for the Navy. Yet, despite all his "smarts", the guy was an idiot. He knew his field inside and out, but outside of his field, he was a moron.
You like to twist around what I say.
I will repeat, a respected engineer with Ford spent 2 days with me on various topics. This individual agrees with JoeyA that CTE/ Pro One is an objective, accurate aiming system. If he wants to post it would be his choice.

Most people like to stand up for what's right and true. If you've provided him something of value, he should want to speak up on your behalf (and be specific about it, and respond to challenges).
Well, that depends on what battle you think I'm fighting. It sometimes seems you think I'm fighting you--but I'm certainly not. I'm sure you'll continue on as a successful pool instructor.
The battle I'm fighting is against ignorance--and so far, there have been a LOT of casualties on that side: People no longer believe the earth is flat or that the sun goes around the earth (despite the deadly disputations of religious believers on the issue).
But you're not wrong, it's a TOUGH ONE--and the ignorant have the support of LEGIONS, and are willing to fight to the death to defend "belief" over fact. CTE is an expression of the most PIG-HEADED ignorance one can find these days (similar to things like astrology, homeopathy, faith-healing, etc., etc., etc....the depressing list seems endless). I'll always fight it wherever it's found.

On a submarine, the bilge is very clean. I haven't been on other ships, but I understand that on "regular" ships, the bilge is a pretty nasty place to be.
People interact with me because they can't deny (within themselves) that what I say has reason behind it, and that I'm not "just some idiot."
There's always at least a SMALL PART of everybody that's immune to internal fantasy, and that has an eye out for someone who talks sense. You can't really grow up and have a normal life and be TOTALLY immune to good sense.
Nobody who has followed the threads can deny in themselves that the people who seem to be against CTE are universally more articulate, better reasoned, and--as it has come out in the conversation--better educated (sometimes RIDICULOUSLY better educated, like being professors of ENGINEERING, for god's sake!).
People can bluster and huff all they please...but at the end of the day they can sense where the facts reside.
This isn't religion, or politics. This is about rather SIMPLE facts and assertions.

It really is a good strategy on his part. He's like one of the heckling crows in that glass cleaner commercial -- zinging from above. As long as he doesn't suddenly decide he wants to "participate" in the discussion (i.e. "test" the effects of the glass cleaner), he's fine. But the minute he does... KA-BAM! Head-first into the screen glass door, followed by hearty guffaws...

There are about 3 or 4 anti cte guys i have seen on here and they have clearly stated all they know is something about lining up center to edge and theres a pivot and the ball splits the pocket! These guys are really showing there ignorance and im not talking about cte either!!
I would guess 99% of people who are reading these threads and waiting for the dvd to come out and waiting to hear reviews of it, wanting to give it a try, unlike the 3 or 4 trolls that are making fools out of themselves in these threads with no facts. So i would say again this has been good publicity and 3 or 4 guys can not do any damage.
I use a version of cte and have kept quiet because i understand there is a better version coming out, so i will wait and learn it then i will talk.
Stan learn to use these negative anti attitudes to your advantage!!
