I get it now. I had no idea what he was saying because it is so crass and it didn't occur to me that someone would go there. Spider has a shit fit when Connie comes into the forum of her own will and starts debating CTE with us. She is not to be questioned, but sexual jokes about a guy's wife is OK? Huh. Yes, I know the joke was technically about Lou but the wife becomes collateral damage. Talk about hypocrisy.
If the two biggest vile crass slammers (Lou & Dan)of Stan, Connie, CTE, me, and everyone who is a proponent of the system including top pro players and ranked amateurs DID NOT get it, then it was written in such a way that NOBODY outside of the vile group came close to getting it! The rest of the world has no idea.
What that means is it was written exactly the way I meant it to be for only the main player who lives in close to a mansion with art all over the place.
And yes, it was aimed directly at Lou not his wife. Spin it all you want, White. At his and your age both of you need all the help you can get from the outside. Collateral damage? What a stretch and claim.
I wouldn't be surprised in the least if your fantasies and role playing were so far out there it would make most videos look tame. And has no reflection whatsoever on your wife, anybody's wife, live in girlfriend, etc. It's about how the male mind works and any man who says they don't have fantasies but thinks ONLY about what's next to them for the last 30-40 years is a liar.

Unless you and all the rest of those you mentioned above are hard line Dems who believe guns don't belong in society or your own hands, it would probably be wise to have a carry permit along with either a revolver or semi-auto of choice to carry at all times. Nope and nope. The money didn't come out of his own pocket. It was a business expense and was written off as such. It was not personal income that had already been taxed. The $10,000 loss did not actually cost him $10,000 and JB claims he got more than that much value in advertising.
The money didn't cause him any nerves as he often said he made the money back in about a week.
You can't write off a gambling loss as a business expense and you can't camouflage it very well without fear of being caught by the IRS. Things like that are compared from one tax return to other years by IRS auditors for anomalies and abnormalities. That's why people get audited.
IF he did do something on his taxes as an expense, I guarantee it wasn't preplanned. It DID come out of his pocket up front.
At the time of the match with all of the pregame hype here on AZ and other forums,
he was as nervous as hell as anyone would be having never bet that much before.
He damn near got in a fist fight during his warm up for the match with someone who
had the ability to clean his clock in seconds. They were jawing at each other moments before play started. THAT was an additional cause of nerves.
If the match allowed him to cover his losses based on new business, it was a pleasant surprise, not something preplanned or contemplated.
What I'm taking away from this is that apparently CTE breaks down more easily from nerves than traditional aiming does. Kind of shoots the theory that all you have to do is find the right perception and hit it.
Whatever JB did on his taxes is neither any of your business or mine. Reasons can be given that are valid or invalid. Only he, his tax preparer, and the IRS know. And the best case scenario is the IRS does NOT KNOW.
$10k used the way it was with all of the pre-match hype, woofing, and arguing on a few different pool forums specifically targeting pool players to get everyone jacked up probably was the better way to go for the money rather than other ways of advertising. We see advertisements everywhere and everyday in one form of media or another and tune them out completely. It's like a waste of money.
The match got involvement with pool players all across the country and world! Didn't matter who the person was rooting for. We all need or want a nice case. I even bought one.
Can you show a video that Stan made where CTE is used to play safeties, intentionally drives balls away from pockets, and bank balls around the table to miss pockets?
One pocket is a game where total control of the CB with angles and English to hide somewhere behind clusters or another ball is the key. Not CTE to get there.
CTE has done a fine job to help a player get into the Mosconi Cup 2 years in a row and have the start of a good career at a very young age. Also has been adopted and used by other pro players and top amateurs throughout the United States.
Nice try at a slam but it only shows you still don't know what you're talking about with CTE and never have. We just know it's your mission in life to do everything in your power to belittle and destroy CTE, Stan, and players who use it. I wouldn't expect anything less and you always come through.

So now CTE is no good for playing 1p? Never heard that one. Tell JB because I know when he made a shot against Lou he'd say "Yeah, CTE baby"!
I'm not slamming CTE I'm putting 2 and 2 together and thinking up possible explanations. You have two guys with relatively similar ability playing under similar stress, one using CTE and one not using CTE. The guy using CTE falls apart under stress and loses. Maybe CTE isn't as easy as just find the objective points and shoot, and now we're learning that CTE is no good for 1p. What was he using when hiding the cue ball and pushing balls around if not CTE?

Lou is for sure an egotistical pain in the ass. This probably comes from those years as a military officer wherein they grow into big bullies because of their protected rank. (I've always hated officers)
On the other hand concerning Lou, in spite of my contempt for him as a person, I must admit that he does shoot pool very well. I don't rate him as an A player...but he's close. And he CAN shoot and he will gamble...unlike that BC-21 guy with his dizzy ass poolology book and arithmetic schemes.
BC-21 is the big shooter among his selected "fwens" but when someone is shoooting back at him, he folds like a cheap suit. (no nerves).
You're wise to end up muting ALL of them from that "Dan White Posse".
The entire crowd is filled with bullies. They've needed someone along the way to call their hands and bust their noses wide open with a Joe Frazier left hook to teach them some humility. They've just never been in the right pool room for that to happen when they started with their mouths.
Remember what happened to that nutcase Fast Larry, when that other guy finally had enough and dropped Fast Larry like a used condom at that pool trade show.
Sadly, I am small, weak, slow, and can't fistfight worth a flip or I'd knock some of them out myself...it's best for a cowardly scared runt like me to lay low, suffer with their indignities, and stay alive.
