That is what I was thinking. Definitely a lot of coolness going on in that shop, except for the music.
 


Yeah. I just hope they don't actually broadcast that video's catchy music out onto the factory floor. Everybody'd be like singing and dancing and popping their fingers - how would you ever get any work done?

I will admit that I have once or twice sanded something in sync with whatever song was being played by a Pandora channel at the time.

It almost looks like the tenon is milky and after the pounding the transition area might be a little shiny. Hard to tell since the video is so grainy though.

What about the huge black knot in the shaft 6 inches down from the ferrule?

I figured he was just showing fit for demo purposes, like with he joint colors, they are later shown in a basket with glue. I have machined off ferrules that have vertical steps around the inner circumference of the ferrules with no glue on them.....Of course there was a reason they needed to be machined off.
