I have a pair of ebony/bacote jps from Alton that I bought in pretty bad shape. They've been refinished and are up for sale. The previous owner personalized the top of one of them with a chineese character. They are for radial pin cue and make a great add-on to any bacote cue!
Unfortunately, I don't have any radial pin cues to put them on...
There are 8 points 4hi4lo of a white material with visible grain, not sure if it's ivory or not but I think it's ivorine.
These probably went for a couple hundred bucks brand new.
I'm looking to get $70 for the set shipped... OBO

Is that a custom Sharpie design I see? What was he thinking?

Lol! Yes it is! It would be worth it to spend $15 and have someone hit it with sandpaper and refinish the top of the jp if it bothered them that much. At this price it's a no brainer!

sharpie

If it hasn't been clear coated over, you can try denatured alcohol on a cue tip to remove the sharpie.

Alton does some amazing work. Should be an easy sale.

These were personally made for me for my Chad McLennan Sneaky Pete in 2007 or 2008. I asked Alton to write my chinese surname with a sharpie to personalize it because I had more then one shaft at that time and similar joint protectors. Also it has a silver ring because that male cap was made specificly for a used ob-1 radial shaft that came with a silver ring. If you remove the clearcoat, you can scratch off the chinese character. All of the white is Alternative Ivory with bacote to match my 4 point Chad McLennan Sneaky. All black should be black linen fiber if I remember correctly. I sold it because I no longer had the cue and had no use for extra radial pin joint protectors. Initially, I decided not to sell the side with the chinese character because it was beat up and it was personalized to me but jbravo wanted both so I decided what the heck. These are a fantastic match if you have four point bacote sneaky with radial thread.
