i've heard several players say they use alcohol(rubbing) to clean their cues is this safe to use? if not what do you use to clean it nicely.
Post all you want man, that is why this forum is here! I use a dry Mr. Clean majic eraser, then wipe the shaft thouroughly with a dry cloth to remove the dust and fibers. Then I burnish it with leather, and start shooting. Welcome to AZ.

Really? Dry? I've never tried the Magic Eraser dry, usually dampen it a little bit. Guess I'll have to try that today. Thanks!
1. A cuemaker told me never to use water in any form and to only use denatured alcohol (which does not contain water).
2. A friend has a predator Z1 shaft and said that the directions said to use rubbing alcohol (which contains water -- some more than others). But, I stick with the denatured alcohol when I first clean a shaft that's very dirty.
3. In addition to denatured alcohol, I also have and use either Shark Oil or Sil Kleen Instant Shaft and Ferrule Cleaner. I use only one at a time and each seem to work well. Kinda depends on how I feel that day as to what I use since I have both.
4. After cleaning I burnish well with a piece of leather or a Q-Wiz.
ive used it wet also, but dry works good enough for me, also, using it dry, i can play with it right away. Try it out, you might find it useful.

try this.... Denatured alcohol on the magic eraser. Works killer, drys fast.
