Id help!

Anyone have any help, thoughts, ideas of who made this cue? Should I be posting this in gallery instead?

Not a clue.

But I will make a wild guess that his name is Steve. :D

I am looking around on this one....nothing yet......

cue

im not sure in my opinion a different wrap might give that cue a new look.
no idea on the maker of the cue

My first thought are Steve Kornele....kind of looks like his sig. The style, however, does not quite look like his??

Since Mike brought it up....I am a linen fan...but that is one cue that would look sweet with black leather IMHO.

I have a brother-in-law named Steve. Long shot....but I'll ask him..... :D

I can't believe nobody came up with this one. Usually with signed cues somebody can ID it quick....but of course, not always. There are an awful lot of local makers these days.....

I thought about Kornele myself. Oklahoma builder....but his cues look nothing like this. I have no idea what his signature looks like....

Be right back...I'll check.....

OK....here's one:

I'm no handwriting expert but I am thinking it's not the same. And as was said, his cues really look very different from this one.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to contact him and ask.

Thanks for the leads/help so far guys. Seems this cue is a hard one to figure out as i'm still searching for the answer!!

Steve Urate, Philippines.

He almost always does a threaded bumper and long butt-sleeve like that.

Here's a signature to compare to.

WOW Thanks!! This has to be it! The only other info I had gotten was it was most likely from Philippines so I think you nailed it. And yes it does have a threaded bumper.
Any info to be found about this cue maker?

He's out of Makati City in the PI and his cues are mostly called Vhante cues on ebay. His uncle is Jenor Urate who made the Ronej cues that were on Ebay as well. Nice hitting cues for the price.

Hope that helps,

Kevin

P.S. If you google Steve Urate there are a few postings about him and his uncle Jenor's work.

Steve Urate

I had that cue made by Steve for a friend of mine here in Florida. There is no doubt. It has a 5/16x14 schon joint and we fitted it with a Predator shaft as well.

Let me know if it will be for sale.
