Cue Identification Library

Murray Tucker.

It has ”Tucker”, written in cursive on the butt cap. This one also has the year “2000” written. It is the only Tucker I have and it is one of the first five cues he ever made, so I don’t know if he used any other sort of marking on his subsequent cues.

Mike Pancerny cues have a “dot” right below the joint where the bottom of the joint pin rests. That is where there was a glue relief hole.

That Is his “logo” with his actual signature.

Would you buy a cue that had his name in large script, like the copy Balabushka cues, and assume it was an authentic Black cue?

If you don’t like the idea, feel free to create something that would work better. I started the thread as an idea to help people identify cues. I didn’t intend for it to be a debate thread.
I underestimated the depth of authenticating by size and/or other aspects of the signature.

I like your idea.

I have been accused of plagiarizing this logo but I am sure I never heard of these cues when I designed the logo for Coos Cues. Sorry there are only 26 letters in the alphabet. The first hundred or so cues I made are signed JC in cursive on the hoppe ring before I started inlaying the CC.

AE artistic engineering previously known as aardvark engineering as I have read. Amazing craftsmanship.

I do not know the exact years these were used but the top is Pre-1990 and the bottom is 1996. Schon may have used other scripts also but these are the two types I have.

The red logos were used on basic cues, the gold on customs. There is a third that I do not have an image of.
The first 38 cues built had no logo.
