Here is the seller
http://www.ebay.com/itm/231850027511?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

OK
Lets say you buy a cue from a known cue maker from here.
You agree on price and what you want with the cue.
In this case the cue is currently made with one shaft already.
So....you commission another matching shaft to be made.
It takes abit of time to make the 2nd matching shaft....so seller sends you the cue with current shaft to play with.
You get the cue and the current shaft has a roll.
You contact the maker and he says he will take care of the issue and send you a 3rd new shaft along with the 2nd new shaft that was commissioned on the original sale.
It takes awhile to still get these two new shafts.....but finally they arrive.
Well now both new shafts there were just sent have rolls to them as well.
Total time so far now is almost 3mos. Too many tries to get things right etc...buyer and seller agree to return cue and get a full refund.
Seller doesnt have funds to do the refund immediately though....so how long do you wait?
Should the seller be in contact with out of courtesy to let you know the status of refund...maybe when buyer can expect, etc....

how did you pay for this cue & shafts?

Please answer paypal, goods & services, funded with a credit card...

A known on here cuemaker doesn't have funds for refund? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Johnnyt

Yea...you figure if thats a business of yours you would have that ready just in case issues do happen

so far, so good.

did you fund it with your credit card?

not on this one because you know it was a known cue maker that seemed on the up and up
very quick to respond to my questions and request when we were finalizing the deal
once that part was done and payment sent
the quickness went away and had to send a few texts to get a response
now waiting for a refund i have to send alot of texts
he says he is having some tough times...
well it seems when money is owed anywhere that person is always going through tough times

i have been waiting one month right now for a refund

The issue is that the seller agreed to a refund which has not been sent to the customer.

okay so no credit card so asking your cc bank to help is out.

BUT

you def should immediately contact paypal to see about them giving you a refund. You do have their buyer protection and you have his correspondence indicating he agreed to refund and you sent the cue back.

Paypal won't be as sympathetic over his tough times story. They are a little more black and white about these things.

Make sure you have all your ducks in a row such as proof the merchandise was defective, correspondence, his agreement to refund, and proof that you returned the cue, either by tracking or his acknowledgement, or both.

I don't know if there's any time limits but I'd get it going right away.

best,

Shafts

i can see light underneath on all of them
good light
tips leave the table

this is suppose to a brand new cue no issues
so when you have a cue maker make you one
it should not leave the table at all
PERIOD

I was trying to figure out if you were looking for a excuse to cancel the transaction is all.
I am on your side with this one.

I shipped a cue one time to a customer the customer said one shaft was warped and sent the cue back.
I refunded his money that day before the cue ever got shipped back to me..............

I put both shafts in my lathe and spun them, both were straight.
I just figured that wood moves and after shipping it takes time for the wood to settle down after going through extreme temp changes and pressure changes being flown in the belly of a cargo plane or commercial airliner.

Not a big deal, my cue wasn't banged up, and resold it a few days later, the customer was happy that I was that easy to work with.
I have a no questions asked return policy anyway...........................
And personally who wants to sale a cue to some one they don't like... really what fruit is there in that....................
Things happen and its not the end of the world, least it wasn't for me in refunding the money wasn't a big deal because I don't spend the money until I know the customer is happy with what he got.

Your only legal recourse is small claims court.
Don't do the public slander thing and think you wont get counter sewed in small claims court...

But personally getting 3 shafts in a row that warped is a giant problem for the cue maker....... and odd.

I am glade I don't have that problem.

I was wondering the same thing and how are they being "rolled" to see if they roll straight?

How do you roll a cue?
Is there a special way that I dont know of?
Put butt and shaft together and roll on table?
Im not doing any light saber type thing here with the cue.

The ferrule flops when the cue is rolled on top of the rail?

Uhhhh Im lost here

I started communicating with cue maker in April
Finally pulled trigger in September after looking everywhere and at other cues that interested me
Sent payment mid September
Butt and shaft one was already made
Told him to keep it all until second shaft made to make sure it matches up with butt nice smooth and even and is straight
That took a long time...cue maker said he had an event to go and that my second shaft would be ready mid to end October....it wasnt
Well I asked him if it was and he said so he sent cue out with original first shaft...thats when I noticed the roll.
Let him know and now waiting on second shaft and now shaft number three to replace shaft number one.
Well finally get shaft two and three mid December and guess what all have rolls in them so.....its been since September since I sent payment and this started with issues and refunding mid December....I think the time window is gone there

I dont like to slander people
I want them to be a man of their words
Step up to the plate and handle it like a man would
Your issues in your life are not my problem...sorry but thats the truth
You agreed to sell me a product that was suppose to have two straight shafts that do not have any issues and in the end I got three shafts that have issues
FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE YOU CREATED IT not me

This is the second time I have had this issue
First time was with another cue maker named Brian Prulhiere and we all know about him
Saw an ad on ebay and obviously it was too good to be true...learning experience for me
The current cue maker though has a good reputation from what I found
The pics of his cues are nice overall
I dont know what the hell happened with mine and how I got jacked so bad on my transaction

I know life comes full circle one way or another
It always has and always will

i can see light underneath on all of them

:sorry:

Well all shafts will have light under them if they have a pro taper

but the tip coming off the table is not just a little roll.

That's at least a hoagie roll.

How long are you going to wait before you toss his name out there?
Spare everybody else from what you went through.
