Cue makers to stay away from

Rooster do you want full disclosure???

How was your experience buying the "TWO" bocote cues??? Why did you omit that you own two of his cues and were the owner of the last two cues made???

Additionally, you omitted the reason for the delay? The buyer modified the cue design jog your memory? What was the modification to the design? White phenolic rings instead of black jog your mind? What happened when "White phenolic rings were used instead of what Bernie recommended? I will tell you! The tenon cracked because it was a "Much" weaker material and the buyer insisted despite Bernards warnings? Did bernard tell the buyer what happened? Yes he did! He repaired the tenon and switched the phenolic to Ivory at much added expense. The buyer then said "well" i don't want it since the tenon cracked and you had to repair it!!!

He was 2 weeks away from finish! He received 2 checks! One for $600 as the deposit! Another check for $1500! He returned $1200 which was minus the $300 for the ivory he had to upgrade to for structural reason and buyer aesthics!

Does any of this sound familiar! He offered to redo the cue and "start again" as you said.

I understand this may be a family member or close friend of yours involved in this dispute! But, you attacking and "OMITTING" vital details to paint Bernard as some kind of villain is not a good look.

I asked you several VITAL questions and they still remain unanswered in my last post and I wonder why unanswered??? Because, the answer is that the reason for the return was 100% because the weak material requested resulted in the tenon to crack and despite being structurally sound and repaired the buyer could not get over it! Thus, the screams for a refund! Nothing to do with building the cue or delays on his part as they are a direct result of the changes requested by the buyer!

Are you sure you aren't Bernie? You know way too much. Why are you asking questions when you already know all of the answers. Every bit of info you posted in this post came from you and Only you. No one else mentioned anything of the sorts.

Did you talk to him today?

I knew there was much more to this story as there usually is ,,I would have to know more on the cue build but talking to Kieth Josey on the time line of cue building he told me that depending on material used you have to marry components in a time line letting the cue stableize in a controlled envioirment ,, this is why I asked about the cue ,, this can also happen leaving the cue in your car where temps can change very rapidly , I learned this lesson the hard way ,,,

Glad you got to the bottom of this as I knew you would and I have zero reason to believe what u post as I know your reputation is second to none

We can go back and forth with he said/ she said but the bottom line is the buyer wasn't happy for whatever reason. Bernie agreed to give a Full Refund and didn't.

That's your response!

How repulsive!

Attack a persons lively hood and omit major key points and distort the reality of the situation and most here would think you would refute my post publicly or apologize!

Just do neither and reiterate the same nonsense!

I am done! Azbilliards knows the Truth.

I think this may be one of those gray areas with many on both sides. I think though most would agree, if infact the Est time of delivery was missed by 8 months maybe you can't fault someone that wants to get out. Even now I dont fully understand the relationship between him and Tony. It kinda doesn't matter but it kinda does.

KD since it seems you no this cue maker well please enlighten us as to why he would build a cue that he knows will break? I just don't get it even if the buyer want white, black, pink plastic makes no difference if he really told the buyer that martial was not going to stand up to average play then y would Bernie build a cue knowing it's going to break at tendon or anywhere.

This doesn't add up hell alot on both sides of story doesnt. But if what you said is true and Bernie finished the cue on time and it broke on the buyer he new the risk in that material and shouldn't be getting a refund he should be paying for a repair.

You are getting secondhand information just like I am. The only difference is Bernie agreeing to give back a full refund in front of a witness . A month later he decided for whatever reason to keep 42%. Where is Judge Judy when we need her ? Lol

Did buyer agree to take the risk of that material and cue broke if so their shouldn't be a refund but a bill for
repair work.

this thread reminds me of the old Styx song lyric: "heard it from a friend, who, oo, oo, heard it from a friend, who, oo, oo, heard it from another, you been messin' around...

best,
brian kc
