Can someone recommend a low cost, accuate scale for weighing cues?
Any suggestions would be welcome. My balance beam scale has seen better days and is no longer accurate no matter what I do. I bought it at a thrift shop for a couple of bucks, so I got what I paid for!

Thanks for any suggestions. I was thinking of going digital this time.

I've got a postal scale that I use in the shop as it plugs in instead of using batteries. I've also got 4 of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DIGITAL-GEM...ital_Scales&hash=item4603694916#ht_1805wt_815

which work very well. I use one for weighing my epoxy components as they weigh down to 1/200 of an ounce. I also carry one in a couple of my cue cases for when I'm out as someone is always wanting me to estimate (guess) the weight of their cue. I took a piece of maple 1"X1" square and about 4 inch long and I cut a V in it and I just lay the block on the scale, hit the tare button and then lay the cue on it in the V so that it doesn't roll off.

Dick,

Thank you, incredible find, just bought one, in my case it will go

I got something similar for under 10 bucks. They are commonly found on Ebay but I got mine locally at the flea market.

Can't live without it and I wonder how I got along before I had it. LOL!

I have the bottom scale from Harbor Freight. I generally mistrust a scale that has not been calibrated. I tested with a 2500 gm weight that had been measured on a calibrated scale. My new scale said it weighed 2502 gm. Pretty good straight out of the box. Not worth worrying about. Since I only use it to weigh cues, my wife loves it for cooking occasionally.

I bought one of these.... works great. You can't go wrong for $6.49.

I have spilled so much epoxy on my other scale that I can't read it anymore...
