Atlas- Sure they cost a little more in most stuff but have the stuff you need almost always. And they field calls if you have issues. Nice people.

Prather- Nice people. They take care of their customers.

Hightower- Chris is the mailman who has never called in sick.

Bellforest, Gilmer and Dominiak- All good people in my books

Brianna-Only bought little stuff so far but Lee sent them fast .

Unique Inc-Billiardbum is not a bum. He's a buddy.

I can list so many more who I exchange and buy goodies from here.
Kenny Koo, Varney, Eric Crisp, Mason, Jazznpool/Westerncue, Bob Denali Flynn and more.

thanks for the list. always good to give a shout out to good peeps.

i've had some good experiences w/ cook woods and west penn as well.

Joeys right again

Atlas-Prather-Hightower-Brianna-All have treated me well....But Atlas's shipping is so fast that the minute I place the order the door bell is ringing.....:grin::grin:Thanks to all....Ray

I just got some nice east indian rosewood from West Penn Thursday. Nothing but good transactions with them so far. :)

I have had great luck with Westpenn on the one order I placed. They even called me a day later to say that in the size I wanted, the figure was not there at all, and that I wouldn't be happy, and would I like to go up to the next size for no extra charge. Great people. Atlas is good, expensive IMO, but good. Cuestock, ordered grade A finish shafts, got a bunch of mis-sized shafts with barberpole and runout, sugarlines. Emailed my dissapointment, he sent a new batch and even an extra one. Size was consistant, color and runout was good, still not finish grade IMO, but nothing sanding couldn't fix. overall his service was great. I have a local lumber supplier that has a great selection of exotics, with great prices and it's nice to actually pick the pieces by hand. Nowheres as big as Gilmer, but good enough for me, and a few other well known cuemakers to order from, I have recently found out:wink:

Atlas, Bell Forrest and Prather have always been good to do business with.
There are too many other good smaller suppliers to list. Over all we have a good honest industry among cue maker suppliers and cue makers.

I agree here Chris. Good thread Joey. Often times on AZB we hear about how deals have gone awry in some way. Problems of one kind or another can happen with any dealer or supplier. The guys I like to do business with are the ones who will correct a problem if it occurs.

Hey Dave- would you be willing to name your local supplier?

I've found some great stuff at forest products associates in Greenfield.

thanks,
Josh

I know, it's getting close to Doodles time and you guys just want to make sure you're on the list. Yeah, I know. Good move Joey. Lol

I have to give Chris Hightower another praise here. I bought a lathe from Chris in 1998 ish and he was very helpful then and has always went above and beyond to answer any q's I've had. Met him at a few shows and a super guy. I'm in NC and would love to take a little road trip and spend some time with Chris one day. He's in it for the love of the art and not just for money IMO. Thank you Chris for your help to us all in this unique hobby we all share. PS: Still saving pennies for that inlay machine. Shouldn't be long now!

Hey, I bought about $500 in taps and goodies from Atlas a month ago. Do ya think I might be in line for some Doodles too?

Bingo, you guessed it:grin: They have some good stuff there most of the time, and really nice people.

It's like Cracker Jacks on steroids. If you start to nibble, you're hoplessly addicted and you'll have to let your belt out another notch. No nutritional information on the package. Best to re-gift them!

Erm. What is a doodle??

Martin is also very good to deal with as well. Lots of good leather blanks.
