Custom cue

Looking at this guys listings on Ebay it looks like EVERYTHING he sells is very rare or one of a kind....

Makes me very suspicious.

Another good reason to require 50-posts and gold membership, before you can start a thread in the AZ wanted / for sale.

I told you there was money in Lucasi cues, but no you keep buying customs.
after seeing this I think I'll list my rather plain jane Lucasi for $1500.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on that. I haven't reached your criteria and have had some very successful transactions, both buying and selling. I have also offered a full refund on any item sold. Completely ostracizing newcomers would be bad for the whole community and inevitably discourage new members. I agree that there needs to be some type of method for screening and ferreting out undesirables, but I don't think your idea is the solution. Bottom line is that all buyers need to utilize common sense and take the necessary steps to protect themselves; especially with high value transactions. "Caveat emptor".

You're grandfathered in><
My suggestion is designed to discourage the cheapskate Ebay seller that stumbled across AZ Billiards through Google, and thought "what the **** is this place, I can sell my crap for free, I don't have to disclose anything, I can say ivory as many times as I want even if it it isn't even ivory, and just maybe if I take a free shot calling a $150 imported cue a custom cue, I could really make a score"
I wouldn't care if we had a free Ebay sub-forum on AZ for these cheapskates to post links to their Ebay sale, but threads like this one should be a $35 lesson to the seller.
It's been said many times that other large forums require gold membership to sell anything.
Most gun forums for instance require gold membership to sell, not to buy.
They also have a probationary period and require and ISP email address just to register.

Now I agree more with what you say. I buy, sell, and build custom and high end guitars. Many of those forums require members to register with an ISP email and a credit card. Some also offer or recommend a broker service to handle transactions. This is more along the lines of what I meant as far as methods for screening and discouraging unethical persons from joining.
Either way, I wholeheartedly agree that something needs to be done about the scammers and those with shady practices.

cue

when you don't know who the builder is stay away something's fishy in Newfoundland.

really

Is this person really trying to sell this in a place where everyone knows what is what? If someone buys this please contact me. I have some things to sell you also.

He was over in the Ask the Cue Maker Forum today claiming that it is now a Lucasi one of one, and looking for info on it.

I know you guys told him it was most likely a Lucasi but I don't believe that I read any post telling him it is a one off.

Tryin to yank a scam somehow.

He be Red now, maybe as a warning to others.

Those cuemakers know quite a bit.
Maybe someone in the cuemaker section can explain to him what the difference is betweeen this Lucasi for $2600,
and measureman's electronic store Lucasi for $200.

This cue is a Luc Asi custom cue. The cue was made by a well know cue maker, about 20000 pieces only.
I am collecting BS's from all over the world. This might be a good addition to it.

Just FYI...

Sent from my Note 3

About $2400 Ted.

More than $2400 if you factor in the discount you got when you bought it on sale at Ultimate Electronics><

$2600 must be retail, and I doubt that custom Lucasi's like this one go on sale very often.
