Custom Titlist Cue for Sale

I am selling my mid-eighties titlist custom cue with two shafts. The cue was refinished, re-wrapped and one shaft made, all by Ernie Gutierrez (Ginacue) in 2002.

The cue weighs 18.5 ounces with either shaft. The shafts are 13mm & 13.15mm with ivory ferrules The pictured case is also included in the sale. The cue is in excellent condition with only slight signs of use. It is dead straight, has no rattles, no buzz and has a very solid hit.

This is my first post on AZ but I am known to many, many players all over the country. I also have operated Pool Action Videos since 1988, selling hundreds of 1-pocket videos to players all over the world. The following are recent pictures and show the cue in it's current condition.

THE ASKING PRICE IS $1,500

EDIT: PLEASE NOTE THE CUE IS 59" LONG AND HAS A HAIRLINE CRACK IN THE HOPPE RING AS CLEARLY SEEN IN THE PHOTOS

So who made the cue? I understand that it was refinished..... by Ernie, but it doesn't look like one of his. Thanks.

You might want to take some pics of the inlays in the butt sleeve. Apparently it's a gambler theme cue.

I too am very curious who converted the cue originally. Before Ernie worked on it.

JJ, Where are you located??

Thanks,

Russ....

I know JJ and am familiar with this cue. It is a gambler themed cue with a heart, spade, club & diamond inlay in the butt. I haven't played with the cue but JJ is/was a top speed 1-pocket player and this was his cue for the last 25 years. I suspect if you asked Ronnie Allen, Efrin or many other long time 1-pocket players about JJ or this cue, they would be familiar with both. In any event I can vouch for JJ bein' an honest guy and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him.

Good luck on your sale JJ.

I'm sure some of you old guys will remember JJ from his LA playing days (it was, of course, far before my time).

I know JJ now and would be glad to escrow or whatever for this cue.

Just let me know if I can help.

Kevin

PS If I recall correctly, JJ doesn't know who originally made this stick as he didn't buy it new.

I'm thinking the same guy you are thinking but I don't think JJ knows for sure.

Is that a crack in the Hoppe ring?

Is that a crack in the Hoppe ring?
I'm sorry I didn't mention it in my post but yes, it is a hairline crack in the hoppe ring. I got good photos of it because I wanted it to be clear but then forgot to put in in the text.

ALSO, The cue is 59" which I also forgot in the original post.
