Custom Toolbox Lathe Tenon Replacement VIDEO

Verry nice video

I use a centre drill first and then I bore the hole smaler.
Then I use a boringbar to bore out a true hole for the tenon.
I've got a quick change toolpost so I'm able to switch my tools qick.
I hope you upload more videos, thanks!

Greetings

I beleave what Criag is refering too is right about the the 5 min mark of the video when you are putting in the tenon. You can see the tenon hole and tenon has some play in it. You can see the tenon move upward like it has some wiggle. It might not be a whole lot but I can definitly see it too. And that is why you should bore the hole as Pedi describes in above post.

I like to bore that hole too and leave the top 1/8" snug ( about .002 under of the tenon ).
I use 5-minute epoxy as well.

I like to bore the hole too.. An yes i just watched the video too it does look like a little play. I am just doing some small videos to show how the cue repair lathe works, an just how quiet the lathe really is. The lathe comes with the boring tool too. Thanks for all your comments... Dave

Good video Dave. Looks like the tool box lathe can hold its own at any tournament. I had doubts just looking at pics of the lathe so it was nice to see it in action.
