I was looking at cues tonight, and was very surprised to see a DP cue up for auction with a starting bid of $1299.

I am just curious if there is anything special about the cue (that makes it much different then the average DP cue that sells new for under $200)?
I wonder if the seller got ripped off by a dealer that may have conned the seller into buying that DP cue for who knows how much (and maybe many times its actual value), or if the seller is thinking that he or she can find a buyer that thinks the cue is actually worth $1300?
Seeing the auction just kind of shocked me, because I have never seen a DP cue that was priced for even half of the starting bid of that auction.
I am curious if there are actually people out there that put this high of a value on their DP cues?
I imagine that there are DP cues that originally cost $1300 or more new, but I imagine that they did not have a radial pin on them (with the Dale Perry 1 of 1 signature that looks very much like every other DP cue that I have ever seen on ebay over the years).
Sorry about creating this silly thread, but seeing that insanely high price on a DP cue just really shocked me.
I can understand if it was one of his nice older customs (from before his ebay selling years), but it looks like a DP cue that was made to be auctioned off on ebay.
Sorry if I am wrong about that.
