Darren Appleton

Where in the world do you see anything that's even remotely political?
Perhaps he deleted something or did some sloppy clicking.

That said, he didn't say there were any inappropriate political entries here.

I think we all know Daz is a quality dude and unrelated to or political differences.

My best wishes to him.

I had a M.I. (widow maker) when I was 47. They said my right coronary was 100% blocked. They still don't know how I survived. Young enough and strong enough I guess.

I remember being loaded into the ambulance. I remember starting to drift off. The technician slapped me silly and told me to stay awake.

When at the emergency room, they stripped me down and prepared me for helicopter. One thing they gave me, among others, was nitro. While lying in the bed, I was having another attack. It was very painful. So they administered morphine. It didn't help. I was lying there with my eyes closed preparing myself for one trip, or the other. I heard the doctor and nurse having a conversation outside the door. They must have thought I was asleep when I heard the doctor say... "I dont think he is going to make the trip to Toledo".

That was a he'll of a thing to hear. I said to myself.... Fxxx YOU BITCH! IM GOING TO MAKE IT!!!

I know exactly what he is going through. My prayers Darren.

Thoughts and prayers with Darren and his family at this incredibly difficult time. Everyone who knows Pool knows that Darren is one of the all time greats. Hoping he pulls through. You can do this Dynamite. 💪👊👊

Even though lately he has been exhibiting a lot of "get off my lawn", grumpy old man tendencies at tournaments, here's hoping to a healthy recovery without any complications for Darren Appleton.

Devastating news. I spent some one-on-one time with him at the International in November and he didn't really seem himself.

As his friend, I hope for the best. I was at his wedding, have been to a NY Knicks basketball game with him, been to two different golf tourneys with him, and have visited his house a couple of times.

As a pool fan, I want him back in the arena of battle recapturing the glory of years gone by.

He is in good hands, decent hospital with trained professional Doctor's looking after him using all the tools that science and medicine can offer.
He is a fighter, strong willed personality who has the mental capacity to pull through.
That is half the battle with people, will to live makes a huge difference when sick.
I have confidence he will recover, wishing his friends and family all the best.

His demeanor will change for the better, I assure you. This tends to make a person appreciate life and the time they have left. Every day is a gift.
