Once again, not bitter. Just expected some show of class from a world champion.

That's more than what U would get from any other professional sportsman.

Well I was there, and if there is anything that is for certain, it's that Jesse was NOT the reason why that match ended at 12:38am!!!

All the matches take 2-3hrs.. This match I played a little slower because I played all day and was struggling with fatigue.. I don't take drugs to keep me going all day and night like some of them guys in the tournament .
Darren
Yes, this will offer some interesting countering opportunities to those ever present chants of "UUURRRUUUPP"
Your logic is flawed. The reason why sports do not like this behavior is exactly because it has an impact on the bottom line.
So you've now told me to "give it a rest" and "lighten up", what gives?
Problem is this.
EVERY single last PRO player wants a jelly every time they cash in these things, but take ZERO responsibility when they FCUK off someone else's hard earned money like this (The PRO is never at fault, lol). That's where the problem is, they always want something for NOTHING. It will never change.
And whether you want to believe it or not, these things (calcuttas) do bring money into the pro side of pool and put money in those players pockets.

I was not implying that you played too slow, just that Jesse plays REALLY REALLY fast!
There is never any Calcutta at professional events fact ..so they bring absolutely nothing into pro events what so ever .
I've never recieved a penny from anyone when I been involved in a Calcutta and cashed .. Didn't ask didn't expect anything I just collected what I went there for and come home..
I never ask for anything it's none of business but if they want to tip there horse that's upto them.
But I've never recieved anything just my half when I buy myself
Darren
Maybe you're just forgettable?? Sorry pal.
DAZ this was just unfortunate. Perhaps you can throw the guy some free hours of lessons, your dvd, maybe a signed Mosconi jersey or something. Just something to show him how upset you are at the whole situation too. He lost a good chunk, throw the man some paraphernalia one time, it won't hurt and it will go along way in everyone's book.
We all know he's not getting his $ back, he risked it and lost to unfortunate reasons. If you play that match there's a real good chance that Sky Woodward does not win the event like happened, this may have affected the 3 players in front of you as well.
I think it was a 4-0 win if I remember right lol..
I would want to forget also .![]()
Seems 2-3 people don't get it .. Everyone else thanks for support ..
The guy that buy me in Calcutta is fine and understand the situation so that's all that matters end of day.. He understands it's gambling and knows I didn't miss my match on purpose was just one of those freaky things unfortunately
Always gonna get one two ppl that can't let it go that's life.
Thanks everyone else for support and understanding.
See you down the road.![]()
Really, how much did the NFL make last year? As I recall, they had a really bad year "personnel" wise. yet, the stadiums were filled to the gills, TV contracts were flush, fantasy football was rolling, and the superbowl was seen in 100 countries.
Can you imagine what would have happened if they had one oversleeper.
The NFL is terrifically successful, I wouldn't debate that. My point is that unprofessional behavior (of which, missing a start -for any reason- is just one small example) negatively impacts even the NFL's bottom line. The fact that the NFL enjoys so much popularity in the US, they are able to fade such behavior without suffering a critical impact to their bottom line. However, there is an impact, rest assured. And, for sports like pool, that don't enjoy this embedded popularity, the impact may be more significant.
