David G and Chris Bartrum are to play Saturday at Diamonds in Dallas this Saturday.

It is scheduled to be a 10 ahead set worth App. $10000. This shold be quite intresting and a vey tough match. I'm going with David G as he just has a way of getting it done and has never cost me money.

I would too. He is definitely tough! Anyway, do you know what time that will start? A friend and I would probably be there to watch part of it.

I'm not sure, but I believe David mentioned something aout 1:00pm.

Hmmm

Well, even if it isn't 1pm, I'm sure I could just randomly show up and catch part of it....that definitely won't be a short match....I wouldn't think....

Ironman, I have seen both playing for the cheese. They are both grinders. It should be a great match.

I don't see either one running away with it and would guess that it may last much longer than anyone suspects. Suggest putting in breaks after so many hours and days. :D

They are playing 9-ball and no, the action cam isn't ready yet, but, taping might be available.

The 1;00pm start time is tentative.

I think they have agreed to play 10 hours the first day and until 1;00 am Monday as Cheis has a new job here in Dallas and has to work Monday. In the event that it isn't finished they have agreed to pro-rate.

I expect one not to see anything but good pool here. Both are quiet and gentleman at the table. It is going to be a fight though. I haven't seen one of these in quite a while. I look forward to it.

So by the last post you are saying that Chis is now living and working in Dallas. It's hard to believe he is giving up the road, even though that is a tough gig.

I know David is probably the favorite here, but dont count Bartrum out. That guy plays hard for the money and has the endurance to go for days without tiring out. JMO.

lol, Unless Chris is starting a job in a law firm and making $500/hr. I don't see him getting up for a standard low paying job after playing for $10,000 the day before on a set of pool.

I have never seen the other guy play, but have seen Bartrum play several times as he is from my neck of the woods. I will go with Chris Bartrum.

Funny, I like him too. I've seen both play and I think Chris is more comfortable playing for very high stakes. If they were betting a thousand or two, I'd take David. I just think this may be out of his comfort zone.

I understand what you state, but don't underestimate Davids heart. He's not a kid anymore and been up and down the pike. I don't think the number is going to come ito play for him.

David is a good friend of mine and I'll be in his corner, but believe me, he knows he is gearing up for a dog fight. Everyone around here has met Chris and I have never heard a negative word about him. A real nice guy and huge heart. As I said earlier, I haven't seen one of these in a while and look forward to it. It should be intresting.

One thing you may not have factored into your rationale is that you have probably seen David play for those stakes on the road and have not seen him play for the same stakes at home. "Home turf!" as Ronnie Allen shouts every other shot, is strong medicine. Didn't Bartrum get blanked over there by Wincardona a few weeks ago? Home court could have something to do with that.

All that being said, I don't think that it is funny that anyone would choose Bartrum. He's younger and seems to get more action than David does.
