Don't know about anyone else, but i keep having to close and re-open the stream, luckily not in the middle of a rack yet.

Van Van to break...

Makes two balls on the break and has an open shot at the two.

He really needs to get a BNR here to put some pressure on Chinakhov and reverse the tables.

He makes the two and plays the four in the side sliding over to play the five in the same side. He flirts with the nine getting shape on the six and almost manages to hook himself.

Then does the same with the ten getting on the seven.

He's forced to use the bridge on the seven but gets good on the eight and runs out for the bnr. 7-3..

Time to try and put together a package here.

Van breaks...

dry break, let's Chinakhov back to the table. tough to see if he has a shot or has to play safe.

Different angle shows he had a shot, but he bumps the two forcing him to bank to the other side and he misses the bank letting Van Van back to the table.

Lee Van is starting to look comfortable again.

Comes up short on shape on the six and misses the cut in the corner. Chinakhov gets out to spread the score to 5 games difference again at 8-3.

Ugh, Corteza plays poor shape on the 6. Leaves it basically in the pocket. Chinakhov runs out 8-3.

Looks like SVB, Billy Incardona, Chris Gentile, and Larry Nevel watching from the first row.

Chinakhov to break...

Chinakhov's turn to come up dry. leaves Corteza close to his work on the one, but it is makeable in the side.

He makes the one and the two and leaves himself a LITTLE more angle on the three than he would've liked but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. he plays for the long shape on the 4 and makes it, but nudges the seven into the five and leaves himself frozen to the five with little to do. he plays a wierd two way caroming off the five into the nine and misses the nine, but if he would've made it, he wouldn't have had much of a shot on the five.

Chinakhov plays a safety on the five and Corteza manages to make the seven and then a tough shot on the five and gets out.

8-4 again within 4 games.

Corteza to break.

Van Van comes up dry again. and leaves a difficult starting shot but an otherwise open table.

has to come all the way up table from the three to get on the four and probably would've preferred slightly more angle on the three, but manages to get decent shape on the four, but is too straight to come back down table for the five.

left with a long thin cut on the five and shanks it and scratches back down table in the corner.

Van van gets a much needed BIH.

Difficult to see if the eight passes the nine into the easier corner to play it in. but Lee Van seems to like it.

It looks tight but Corteza cinches it and gets out.

8-5 within 3 games.

Lee Van to break...

Comes up dry again but gets a safety break..

Chinakhov looking at where he can push.

He elects to leave a makeable but tough shot and Lee van skirts with disaster trying for the safe and almost making the one in the side.

He gets the safe and Chinakhov misses it entirely AND breaks out a tough 8-10.

Should be a two game race.

The three is close to the ten and has little lee way so Lee van may have a little more angle on the two than he would like.

He gets the shape he needed on the 3 and the rest of the table seems fairly straight forward.

leaves himself the perfect angle on the four to draw back down table for the five.

he gets the runout after flirting with scratching in the side getting on the ten and closes the gap to 2 games.

8-6

Lee Van to break...

Let's see if he can make something this time.

He makes a ball but it looks like he'll have to play safe, although he should be able to lock him up pretty handily here.

He plays it a little differently than I would expect but does get a marginal safe.

Chinakhov makes a valiant effort at a kick safe, but leaves the one hitable.

Lee Van shanks it and appears to hit the nine first, but he doesn't call a foul.

Shouldn't make much difference as the one was easily makeable.

the three doesn't have the best pocket available and Chinakhov manages to scratch in the side trying to get short side shape...

The fortunes have definitely reversed.

If Van Van gets out here, it will be a one game spread and I don't see any reason that he wouldn't get out here.

Lee Van runs out like water and gets within one game from being down 7-1.

8-7

Lee Van to break...

Wow, Corteza makes three balls on the break and gets an unfortunate kiss by the one to scratch in the corner.

table is open and it would take a miracle for Chinakhov not to open it back up to two games here.

Looked like Chinakhov could stop on the six for the seven in the opposite corner but slam/slides the cue over to play it in the side and comes up a little short.

He leaves himself long on the eight and bobbles it to let Lee Van tie it up... unbelievable match so far...

8-8

Lee Van to break with the first tie score of the match I believe..

Players elect to take a timeout which is good since I have to go to the bathroom...

Lee Van almost gets the exact same unlucky kiss scratch from the one in the corner he got last time, but doesn't make any balls. Chinakhov makes the one but leaves himself no shot on the two. he attempts a safe but leaves the two hit-able.

Lee Van attempts a safe but appears to come up short.

Ruslan plays a bank combo on the three sitting in the corner and then makes the two getting close to his work on the four.

He cinches the four, swish, and gets out to once again take the lead.

9-8.

Chinakhov to break again for the first time in 5 racks...

Makes three balls on the break but one of them is the ten and it spots back up.

Has a tough cut on the one and elects to play a safe instead.

Leaves at least a third of the ball visible and Lee Van attempts a kick safe. The one is left open but Ruslan plays a safe and shanks it leaving the one open.

The four being in a tight position seems to be the only hazard Corteza faces in this rack.

He plays brilliant position and runs out to tie it up once again although he left himself a little long on the eight... race to two...

Lee Van to break at a chance at the lead a second time...

He makes two balls but it looks like he has to play safe on the one. He elects to play a bank on the one and gets good shape on the two with a chance at the BNR to take the lead.

Plays the four a little close to his work but perfect speed control.

He gets the BNR to take the lead and be the first player on the hill after being down 7-1.

wow, Lee Van miscues, but made a good hit. Was looking good for a run out too. Looking like a hill hill match now.
