Not as much of an upset to me as it would have been before Daz's struggles at the make it happen event.

Hopefully he will recover his top form soon.

Agree he been really struggling last 8-12 months
He won the Chinese 8 ball and really either relaxed and didn't care to put the effort in ir he's struggling to find the desire to play

Darren not near as gifted cueists as many other top pro players but he mentally strong and plays the easy shots well
Without that desire he will keep struggling
 
I'd say his neck injury has a lot more to do with it that lack of desire. He had to take some time off to try to get over that, and it showed.
