Deano cues

The deano cues were fun while they lasted,I made a lot of friends through them.

I appreciate all of you guys who bought the cue and gave it a try,its fun hearing from those who really like it.

Deano

Dean

It was and still is fun. The $300 was well worth if for the opportunity to talk and deal with you. The cue is a good player and also a good break cue. I am sure that they will increase in value over time. I am not ready to part with mine.

I was one of the original 25 buyers for the Deano cue. I thought it played very well and still does. It it still my playing cue. Since the initial purchase from Dean I have bought 3 others. The first two were the originals the 3rd one was the glossy finish and the 4th was the new wooden pin with the pro taper. I did not care for the glossy finish nor the new pin and pro taper. Something about the tung oil finish and fat shafts I liked very much. I gave the gloss finish to a friend and sold the pro taper one. I can say that most people that have hit with it like it... the ones that dont... usually dont like the fat conical taper. I can say that I think my play has improved whether its the cue, thought process, stroke or reading some "play better pool books:wink: Anyway the one thing I like about it is you dont mind taking it anywhere , it just blends in and not high on a thief list to grab.

I have a good story to tell about my Deano Cue.

I bought one of the original cues, tung oil finish, fat shaft, etc. I liked it !

I, as I would for any member of AZ, helped him out with a friend, a cue collector that got ripped off in a transaction that he had done on e-bay.

To show his appreciation, he said," Send me the cue back, I'm going to do something special for you".

I did and he sent me a beautiful cue, with a high gloss finish, and a special Magnifying Glass inlaid in the handle.

I will never let this cue leave my possesion because its a symbol of a great friendship.

I spoke to Dean a few times and this is a fellow that was dealing with some of the most famous names in pool, such as sellers and traders, when probably most of us AZ' ers were in diapers.

Dean is one of the most informative people here on AZ, his knowledge is unsurpassed.

I hope to meet Dean sometime in the future, as I hope to meet many of you great guy's.

Dean, if your watching, and I'm sure you probably are, and your going to the Derby this year, I'll find ya !!!

My Deano cue played great for me, break, shoot and everything in between.

When Dean offers a cue for sale, you couldn't deal with a person that truly knows what he's talking about.

I know he dosen't post pictures, probably because he dosen't know how to, but he does know his cues.

You could't buy from a more knowledgeable seller and he is certainaly not someone that will sell you a cue just to sell it.

After talking to him, if he dosen't think the cue is for you or what your looking for, he'll let you know !!

To know and to deal with Dean is truly an excellent experience - you can't do better

I shot with two of the Deano cues and they hit hard. With a White diamond tip you'll pop peoples ears.

I tested two and both were very simpler in hit. The points were off a little but that isn't what the cues are about. They're built with a specific hit in mind. I took an hour for me to get a feel for the cues. The stiff taper is definitely something to get used to. After that the cue ball was dancing around the table.
I enjoyed playing with both cues.
One had the satin finish and the other was a beautiful Ebony SP with a hoppy ring and clear.

Pool Player, Deano breaks great just the way it is. If you put a good break tip on it, I'm sure it'll break even better. I consistantly get at least one in per break, sometimes more. Thats a better average than my dedicated break cues. The shaft is fat enuff to take the weight and it has nice cue ball control.

Anyone know what kind of tip the cue maker used primarily for these? I know he could have used more than one type, I PMed Deano along time ago and asked him, he said he didn't know. Mine is a layered, darker brown and obviously good quality. Possibly a Moori? I know it could have been colored too. The only other tip I have seen that is a darker color is an Everest and its alot taller than an Everest.
