While Dechaine's decision to skip Bonus Ball has been in heated debate on the main forum, Mainplayer skipped the debate and went out and won the Ocean State 9Ball Championship.

Congrats Mike!!!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program of belly aching, snot slinging, name calling and overall nittiness...

Thought a pool related break was due

Very cool. Any idea on the prize? (And how many weeks of BB that equates to.)

Paid $2500 but no clue if there was a calcutta or what his expenses were....

I think Larry may be putting the BB players up as well as paying them but I am sure someone will know for sure....

Am interested in seeing who won the FL State tourney this weekend as well... With much of the competition out of pocket the better pros not involved may feast like kings for awhile....

The ocean state was played at snookers his sponser he didn't pay a dime to play or eat he lives local so it was just a weekends work for him

I was sitting next to mike chatting and such when alcano sits next to him mike asks if he wants to play alcans exact words were no you to good
I will remember tgat for a while

Are there going to be any tournaments schedued during Bonus Ball that those players will not be able to play?

If so, Mr. Deshaines (spelling?) strategy may be momey in the bank without being tied down & some what dependent on team mates.

Just wondering,

All he needs to do is do that nine more times...

Yep, it will have paid off the same as he was guaranteed so long as he does it nine more times...

I don't quite remember it that way, and a lot of people would go "sell everything you own" broke to bet on Ronalto. In case Mike wants to play.

Were you there Tommy? Because he did say that, now whether he meant it or not, I don't know. As far as this BB thing goes, I've told you guys that I don't like the fact that they booked over other great tournaments. This is a concern for me the Mosconi Cup rankings as well. I wish nothing but BB the best and if it comes back for a season 2, I may consider if I got an invite.

As for the US Open, I decided to play in the World Cup of Trick Shots instead. What I DO know, is this was one of the best decisions of my life. Not only will I have TV time, but I had the privilege to be around some of the best entertainers of our sport. I understand some players/people may view trick shot artists differently, but they have tons of talent and are very knowledgable about our industry.

Thanks
MD

I'm proud of you Mike. I love your game, just not gambling against Ronalto.

The world cup of trick shots must have been incredibly fun for you. With your stroke and shot making ability you could come up with some amazing shots.

I love watching the trick shots almost as much as I love watching 9 ball. Good luck at the Mosconi Cup, hope y'all kick butt! :)

The bonus ball guys are getting a dime a week to practice right now. And I'm sure some of them are clearing well better than 2500 with the action that's going on in Vegas right now.
