Define "going over the line" in a pool forum or any forum for that matter

Matt,

You may want to troll around a little and see what your boy John has been up to on this forum. Seriously, some of the things he has said and done to defame others is appalling. While Joe and I are not completely innocent when it comes to engaging John, I feel most of our actions are reactionary.

You may want to consider your own house before you start questioning other's.

I do not condone John's past inflammatory actions any more than I condone those of any other person who posts on this site.

I simply wish there was better moderation and a more healthy and productive discussion on pool, billiards, players, and our industry.

On this site, there are numerous threads asking "what's wrong with pool" and "what can be done to make the sport more popular" - I put forth that the flame wars and trolling I see take place here are but a microcosm of why the industry as a whole can't get it together.

Petty bickering gets in the way of elevating the game to a higher level and in this respect, this forum is a reflection of the state of pool in the US as a whole.

Why is all of this B.S. being aired in public??????? If you guys want to do this kind of crap why not PM each other or try email or a phone??? I know what is has done for me....... I won't be making a purchase in the future from ANY of you..... ;)

Why?

Because they all get a great chuckle out of trying to one-up each other, in front of an audience.

That's why.

Well then you may want to consider that, because John IS a representative of your company. And in being so, does not do Sterling a service of promoting pool in a way that you feel it should.

Personally, I don't think there is any moderation on this board. We have Wild West type chaos and lawlessness, coupled with a Judge Roy Bean style hanging judge when things get out of line... for him, at any rate.

Some people never learn.

JB, as I told you...you created these hateful relationships and I cannot moderate them out of existence.

I am a bit surprised at some of this though.

Bad, bad blood. Where and how does it end?
