Deleted THREAD and Posts?

I woke up this morning to discover that one of the threads I started (RIP) has been deleted?!

This is the first time this has happened to me and I haven't received any explanation of why it was done? The first post of this thread was simply my opinion about the status of the IPT based on recent events and I stated it as such.

The second post in the thread was from an ex employee who obviously had an axe to grind but I considered it relevant to the topic of the thread. I believe in freedom of speech but I given this post contained personal insults I can see why it may have been deleted. But why delete my first post/the thread? :confused: :mad:

Because Deno and Co. (I really want to say KT and the Sunshine Band again ... I coined that title so I want royalties when they get signed) read this site daily and, while they won't openly post a response to anything, they have no problem writing the administrators to cry about what has been said. They could easily just post and say, "that's not true", but they don't. Instead, they sneak around the back door and cry foul. Why not post and expose this "ex-employee" for the fraud that he is if, in fact, his claims aren't true? Of course, if they did post, that would debunk the myth that they try to spread about how they don't read internet forums. I guess they're caught in a bit of a "catch 22", huh? Reply and reveal the fact that they really DO read the forum, or go crying to the administrators to delete the post and make it look like whatever was said had to be true.

They could end all of this nonsense by pony'ing up the dough.
 
Ex Employee Letter

I'm trying to figure out what happened to the letter from the former IPT employee. It was posted here last night. Any explanation for this deletion would be appreciated. It seemed authentic and was eye opening to say the least.

Did he remove it or ?
 
Well IMO this has done nothing for the reputation of AZ, is it really impartial? If they had concerns about something that was posted why didn't they PM me and offer an explanation or ask me to edit/remove something if it broke the rules?

Just deleting and saying nothing is extreemly rude. Everybody contributes here by adding their thoughts and opinions, I don't take the time to do this for it to be just deleted without explanation!

Who deleted it and why, I think a public explanation would be an appropriate thing to do?

No Jay, I copied it into my IPT is Dead thread and the whole thread was deleted! I assume it was removed from the other thread too. I have friends who told the IPT to old onto cheques from Vegas still and I believe this information is important for them to know. They are big enough to make their own minds up if its true or not but they need all the info they can get to make a decission.

Well, if the threads are being deleted solely at Mike's discretion, then I have no complaint, as afterall, he does own the Forums. However, if the threads are being deleted as response to threats by KT and Deno...then I might have an issue. I do not feel they have any right to try a exert control over thread content when they refuse to respond to the allegations made against them. As in dealing with government, if you remain silent, then you deserve what you get.

However, perhaps the estranged employee asked that the thread be removed, in which case, I could understand the compliance.

In any case, it's Mike's 'bag-o-donuts', and he can do as he likes.

Mike doesn't want to be sued anymore than anyone else does. Even a groundless suit can cost a bundle. Much easier to just delete the post and go on with life. Can't say as I blame him at all.

I wonder if any of the magazines will cover the untimely demise of the IPT in the next issue?

If I stand in a hotel lobby and slander someone, the hotel doesn't get sued, I do! I am very disappointed in the way this was done. I would at least think some explanation from Mike would be in order. Considering everything that has been said about KT on this forum, both good and bad, I didn't think anything that was said by this ex IPT employee was out of line. Deleting the entire thread only leaves one to wonder...what other information may have been deleted in the past before anyone caught it?

I depend on this forum for a lot of news and information I get about the pool industry. I hate to think that the information is being filtered.

I too would like an explanation of why thst particular thread was deleted. If in fact the ex ipt employee asked to have it deleted, we should know that. If for any other reason, i think that we atleast deserve an explanation.

As members of this forum, we participate almost on a daily basis. It is obvious we expend alot of time and energy with our participation. In all fairness, for that reason alone we deserve to know why the deletion. I'd hate to come to the realization that I'm just only wasting my time.

I understand the role of moderator, and if they think for any reason that a post/thread is inappropriate, it is their perogative, but we should atleast have an explanation. Ultimately, it does cut to the heart of the integrity of the board and can be construed that paying advertisers could be recieving impartial considerations. I wouldnt be comfortable with the conflict of interests that could very well exist, continuing, without clarification.

It is really a sticky situation when I am asked to look at a post based on it's content.

However, there is always one steadfast rule. Members of this forum are treated with respect. I have always said that I don't mind someone debating or even arguing they they feel differently about something. It is when the thread breaks down into name calling and accusations that I will step in and remove the post.

This post went way over the line of name calling and accusations towards a member of this forum.

Beyond that, I felt the post reeked of BS. While I might not agree that the IPT needed as many people as I saw working in Vegas, they all seemed capable of creating a post above the 3rd grade level that was exhibited in this post.

The reason the RIP thread was removed is because it became a debate about the pulled thread and it was easier to kill it than to weed out the post in question. In this instance, I didn't actually kill the thread but instead moved it out of public view. I have since gone back in and weeded out the conversation about the post and put it back.

Thanks for the belated explanation also. I'd like to point out that the ex employee post wasn't my words as a few people seemed to assume. It was suggested in another thread that this new info should be made more prominant so I moved it to my thread as it was of a similar topic.

I agree that the poster seemed to bear a grudge as he/she had gone to the lengths of creating a personal email. However I thought it credible that they could have worked there given the info they provided. Maybe that person can repost it without the name calling?

My post got deleted as well the other night. I can't say I am surprised. I do not hold anyone responsible. It is call free will. What I do object to is this whole cover up of the IPT. Was it too good to be true? I think the players and staff at IPT had every good intention. Even Deno, who was the main reason for failure wanted to see the IPT become as big as the PGA. However, that being said, KT knew all along what his plans where. 1. Make a huge splash with big money aka smoke and mirrors. 2. Have a small staff but look big in the beginning. 3. Find a sucker sell them a bill of goods 4 SELL & RUN!! Well KT almost pulled it off. He left behind broken dreams and more so broken promises to thousands of people. My post was meant to tell the players in the IPT that the IPT failed because of arrogance and blatant poor management. Deno "LIL MAN" Andrews wasn’t a leader. Kevin "My new book with make you loose weight Trudeau" is a fraud. Do not blame the IPT staff or the pool community. From what I gather, you are no longer employed by the IPT but you were at one time.

When were you employed and when did you leave?
 
Believe me or not. I am not saying things that every IPT employee or player has not heard before. Sometimes the brightness of the pot of gold blinds us to reality.

Grudge, yes. Lies never. I do wish that the truth comes out. very good friends are being fired today. Jobs that help their families survive. KT and Deno will go on. If only you could have been in those recruiting interviews. Come join us and be one of the few but alas we all are one of many who are left empty inside. Trust..Gone.....Lifes ruined....Players Stranded.....that is the IPT legacy

You say you were fired several months ago , but you speak as if the IPT is a "Dead Soldier". What makes you think this?
 
I stood up to Deno. I was the voice for the IPT staff. Here is one example. He was in NYC at a graduation and we were told it was game time strap it on lets go. But what does he do, he goes to NYC for fun and frolic. He then has the " " to call and ask one of our staff to get him free parking. Stop what she is doing and get him free parking. It was a bad. What do you do to someone who is a potential threat to your job. You either embrace him or get rid of him. Enough said.

Standing up to your boss doesn't in itself make you a threat to his job.Can you explain in what way you were a threat to his job? Do you mean he would fear you would be promoted over him or do you mean you were likely to land him in hot water with his boss over something his boss didn't know about or do you mean something else altogether?
