Dennis Hatch on Mosconi Cup Team

Hey Dennis, I'd like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind.

Why didn't you get up to the Open this year? And how have you fared in the times you did attend?

I assume you've watched some of the prior Cups - what's your thoughts on the break (from the box, 9 ball on the foot spot, and 3 to cross the head string and/or pocketed)? Seemed to me we really struggled last year on the break. I don't know if they kept stats, but seemed we came up dry and scratched off our cut break attempts a lot. It was frustrating!

And most importantly, what's the latest on Pool Poker and Pain?

Thanks Dennis!

I personally don't like the cut break it's to tough to control the rock. I like to hit'em hard and try to control the rock! But whatever works at the time is what I go with if the corner ball is going for my opponent and he's hitting them soft them I'll try it.I'd rather hit them hard and take my chances I hate hitting them soft and selling out. I have no idea about pool poker and pain! I've always done good at the open. I didn't go this year because my mother was in the hospital. and I Don't go to a lot of big events because I don't have a sponsor and I'm sick of playing my butt off and them taking the expenses off the top then chopping the money 50/50.

same here... voted for you before I even saw or read this thread. I really hope you can make the team. But like Bartrum mentioned, you really need to become more visible. With most folks, the only ones they remember are the names they read yesterday, so to speak. Good luck, I think you'd make a fine addition. plus you could kick Drago's ass if he get's out of line. I'd like to see the Europeeean's try to throw a pacifier in your direction.... :D

dennis has been up a nd down the pike for many years. he is no sissy and everyone knows that. But, I feel he would surprise you in that situation. Firstly, it is not his personality to antagonize everyone for his own benfit as an earl would do. If it did happen, he would handle it.
now on the other hand, if they put their hands on him,,,,well,,,I'll take a ticket on Dennis!!

Not to bring up a possible sore subject for Dennis, but he went hill/hill with Buddy Hall in the finals of the US Open at a very young age, and if it were not for a dry break on the hill, he would be a US Open Champion.

D - Wanna play some 15 ball rotation in the basement on the Brunswick? Tell Uncle Mark and your crazy cousin I said hey. Josh/Toledo

Unless I remember wrong, Buddy got some good rolls in that match and could easily have lost to Dennis. I love BH, but I remember thinking that DH deserved to win and always have wondered how a major win like that could have changed his life in regards to pool.

Dennis's matches on propoolvideo.com were amazing...Stevie Moore had some good ones too, but when Dennis is on, its an amazing show.

Dennis has my vote and always have. He is truly alesome to watch and I really beleive that he is one of the best left-handers to ever pick up a cue...if not the best! And that includes Sigel.

I really hope you get the spot Dennis...

Always been a fan of the HATCHETMAN!!!

I been on your side since you were 14, that road trip with Breedlove/Groce/your Uncle Mark and dad that brought you to South Florida is etched in my head forever. Your, IMO the best American player today when YOU wanna be!!!

Big Steve

p.s...tell Mark I sent him my best

Hands Down, without a doubt!

Hands Down, without a doubt! The Hatchetman gets my vote. I remember being at a Joss at Turning Stone, and seeing him play for the first time ever. I was wowed! Seeing a player play with absolute fearless firepower. That man is a definite worldbeater. Also my first ever encounter w/ The Hatchetman, as mentioned in my video interview, not only did he already have my respect as a pool player, he definitely earned my respect as a person as well. The Hatchetman deserves this not only for himself, but for us as pool players, and fans, we deserve to see him represent us on the U.S.A. Mosconi Cup Team.

Thanks everyone! This means the world to me whether I make it or not. Just to see all the support from my fans is very heartwarming! Big Steve what up? Mark says hi. Josh would you please pm me, I'm not good with computers. LOL.

Let me start off by saying, it would be an honor and a privilege to play on Team USA in the Mosconi Cup! I've been playing this game for over 30 years! I'm a great player for the cash so I know I can handle the pressure. So just imagine how I'll play for my team and my country! Vote for me and I can promise that aside from my heart and talent, my presence alone on Team USA will instill fear in Team Europe! All the nominees are champions and friends of mine, but I believe I am the best man for the job. Sincerely, Dennis Hatch
