Watching the stream right now and he is playing with a predator shaft but has a Tiger patch on his arm.
hes using a blak model with 314/2
i saw that. just confused why he isnt using his new tiger cue/shaft after just signing like 2 months ago.
He would not win with new shaft, i think he has an agreement to use after few months of playing with it.
Tiger is a cat.
I saw the cat logo on the shaft
uh...ya...but they dont put one on their shafts.
Assuming it is a Predator shaft, it never ceases to amaze me how low budget pool is in just about every aspect. You'd think Tiger would take the logo off and refinish the shaft.

I read he said the tiger cue with the x ultra ld was the best cue he ever played with, now he is switching to a predator shaft... strange
Of course he's going to say that, they pay him to. I dont think it's right, he should honor the contract that he signed and play with Tiger Products until the contract is over. On the other hand he just won another tournament with a Predator, without getting sponsored by them. Better advertisement for Predator when the top player in the world is using their product while being sponsored with a rival company. The sad part is, I dont think Tiger Products will even reprimand him.
When in Asia do as the asians do. He satisfied alot of anerixans when he signed with Tiger. I guess Southwest and Predator are huge in asian countries so he satifies them aswell. He's an awesome kind of guy I guess. He'd probably play with a Tiger when visiting the states. Too bad he didn't use the Tiger though, could have made a couple of hundred chinese pool players order a Tiger cue. But this is in a contract I guess, I take this for granted.
From what i heard, Dennis work for his backer full time, and take a cut of the winnings. We all know how important a cue for wining games; at times pro players switch cues in middle of game to make it look like the "cue" makes him shoot better, but there is 40k on the line and from what we see he cannot afford one miss, other wise he will be eaten a live, and loose a lot of his pay day, i wish i know how much is the deal between Tiger and his manager, plus i am sure he is given a period to adjust to their product.
He does switch cues often. He was using a diveny before, then for US open 1pckt he used a schon then 1 week later in us open 10 ball he used the tiger and won the tourney. He used the tiger again for tar now he's using a predator. Then some guys will play with the same cue for 10 years.
Yup, based on this article, I think dennis is more serious about cue adjustment than most. According to the article, he was using a southwest and it eventually warped, and he was having a hard time finding a cue he really liked since then. He sounds like the kind of guy who will get rid of any cue, if he has even the tiniest doubt about it.
Saw Fu Che-Wei switching between his SW and his sponsored cue this weekend. On a difficult or finesse shot, he would use his SW. On a normal shot (majority of shots) he would use another cue, which looks like a production cue. I assume he's been sponsored, hence cue switching.
