Hi
I am trying to contact Dennis Searing since Feb 06. I last talked to him via email just before Valley Forger, regarding my cue. I have since unable to get hold of him via email/phone. Any help with be much appreciated. Thanks.

Kai

Be patient Kai. When the time has come for him to work on your cue he'll call you! If Dennis answered every call or email he'd probably make about 12 cues a year and his waiting list would be 18 years. If it is really important, I'd suggest trying to call on a Saturday during working hours...I've often had good luck on that day.

Depends on how active he has been in trying to contact Dennis.

A phone call every month? Two e-mails?

Can't judge without knowing all the facts...

Dennis is a great guy. just bear with him

please everybody. just bear with the MAD PROFESSOR as he is affectionately called by some close friends. Dennis is very busy. he gets roughly 50 plus emails a day. plus about another 75 to 100 phone calls a day. if he took time to answewr all of them he would not be able to make/repair anything. i personally know of 1 man who is on his list and still has 2 years to go and is constantly calling dennis to make changes...2 years out. would'nt that drive you nuts also. so please give him a little more time and believe me. you will be happy for waiting...and no i do not personally know dennis and nor do i work for him. Just happen to know a couple of people that know him is all.....Patience is a virtue.....................mike

When your cue finally arrives, it will be all worth it.

I hope staying focused on that glorious day will help you to go through the agony of waiting.

Best wishes,
Richard

Dennis has already contacted me. He is presently very busy with family matters... which is fair... Family always comes first.
Just to let everyone know. I called Dennis about 20 times and emailed him once every 2 weeks. Anyway, I was not pissed off.... just wanted some update on my cue. Anyway.. everything is sorted out now. Thanks everyone for their kind help. Special thanks to Voodoo Daddy as well for relaying the message. Much appreciated. Take care.

Kai

I've been dealing with Dennis for about 12 years... I don't call him to ask when my cue is going to be ready, when he is getting close to starting on your cue he will call and go over the the specs and if there are going to be any changes. There are several other cuemakers that I am on their lists and I don't call them either, when my turn comes up on their list they call. Cuemakers like Dennis that are one man shops have more than their hands full just building cues to keep things moving along. I can only speak for myself... but I just leave the cuemakers alone and let them do what they do best.. build cues.

I'm on the Searing waiting list. I email him roughly every 4 months or so to touch base and always receive a quick and cordial email in response....and I have more than a year before he starts on mine.

the master....

Yes, dennis is very busy and I have known him for quite some time now and he will eventually get to you. If you are on the list just be patient. the wait is definetly worth it.

Have you heard from Dennis. I don't know how long you've been waiting now, but the life expectancy in the United States is only 72. Hope your not in a hurry.

You know, I'm really surprised Dennis still takes orders.
People have no idea how stressful it is for a cuemaker to have a waiting list of years and years and his phone still keeps ringing.
I know one local master cuemaker who does not answer the phone anymore.
His building is locked. Nobody gets in unless he has an appointment.
Dennis is in that stage where anything he makes sells anyway.
So, for him to take ANY cue order, is a gift to that person.:)

I waited 8 years and 6 weeks for my first South West and it was worth it. If anyone is in a hurry to get a cue made .. all you have to do is go to a cuemaker that doesn't have a wait list. I don't mind waiting for a special cue like a Searing,Szamboti,South West,Showman,Hercek,Manzino,Gina etc. they are all well worth the wait.
