Hi all.

I just wanted to take a moment and re-introduce myself.

My name is Dave Wilson ( really!! ) I will be the new mod here for AZB.

We have been going through a little growing pains. I know that for some, having a new mod is going to harder to get used to than for others.

It was brought to my attention by one at least that he "Never saw the smoke electing me Pope".

I appologise for that. The changes should have been up front and public so that there are no surprizes.


We want everyone to be happy and comfortable here. In order to do that, there are a few guidlines that we need to stick within for this to work smoothly.

First and formost, there won't be any tollerance for personal attacks in public. Old scores and calling each other out for a showdown is begging for trouble.

If you feel so strongly about it that you feel the entire board needs to know, please ask Mike or myself first.

Vulgarities and language issues are next on the block.
This is a public forum and there are children present.
Please keep it clean.

We have an NPR forum for all the assorted posts that don't belong in the main forum.

Political, Religious etc....belong there.
This is not solid ground. Everyone has powerfull opinions they feel very, very strongly about.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. One opinion does not carry more weight than another.

Polite discussion about the differnce in opinions is fine, names, ad hominem, flames......will not.

I will do my best to answer questions and help with what I can.

If there are any questions , please ask.

Just a question, I was following the Reno event/flow chart and the scores and match outcomes at the end of the event were never listed, just wondering why?

I know Mike was the moderator for CCB as well - are you taking that over too?

There should be more mods on here, really

Congrats AND condolences Dave. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Personally, I really enjoy this forum, but there have been times some of the flame wars have reminded me much of RSB, and I got so sick of that, I just quit going there altogether.

Congratualtions and good luck. You've always held yourself to a high standard in your own communications on the forum, so I'm sure you'll prove to have been an outstanding choice for moderator.
