someone please keep us posted as good as possible on the action at derby city the next week or so. i went down last year, but didn't make it this year, also wondering if any locals from St. Louis made the trek again....like Quinn, Enlow, Devers, Raulston, or Pettlon

Lot's of matchups for low stakes as far as I could tell. Efren and Corey Duell matched up playing ten ball and one pocket for 100 beans per set and game respectively. Don't know how ten ball turned out but in one pocket Corey told me he ended two game loser.

I played baing bank pool with Ike Runnels, Jay Helfert, Billy and Larry for $2 a ball and ended up $18 loser after being up most of the time.

I played David Grossman getting 9 to 5 and ended up 1 game loser. Then I played some guy named Neil and donated some lunch money at banks. He wasn't even trying and the balls were dropping like marbles in a lake.

Finally at 9:00am I am going to bed. Good morning, good night bye bye.

When I left Grady and Shannon Bryant were playing banks. They played nine ball and Grady got the worst of it. He didn't look to happy in the banks either.

Good description of everything instroke. I think I watched a little of your banks game with that kid. Were you playing next to Grady and Charlie? I was watching from out in the hallway while I was waiting to sign up for the tournament.

Midwikkid...I haven't seen any of the people you mentioned. Maybe they will come for the 9ball tournament. Chuck Raulston said he can only make it for the 9ball tournament this year so He will be here in about 5 days.

Sorry, I have no reports of action from last night. I stayed awake all night thursday on the drive and then awake all day for the tournament so I was sleeping all night. But I heard there are going to be some big games going on later in the week. I'll try to give some updates.

Midwikkid. All of your guys showed up today and said they are staying for the weekend. Chuck was here for about a day but went home and is coming back Tuesday. Justin Bergman and Lars Vardaman came it today and said they are staying for a few days. So most of them are here. I haven't seen any of them match up yet though. Maybe later today.

Scott Frost and Ronnie Allen played some 1 hole sunday night. Ronnie was gettin 11-6 10-6 for a dime. very interesting. i just got home and need sleep.

Glad to see that all the locals showed up, keep us posted on to any action they come up with. Also wonder if any of them are playing in the one pocket tournY? no doubt they will b in the 9 ball tournament, at least quinn, enlow, raulston, and devers, and pettlon.

Thanks for the posts on the action everybody! PLEASE keep them coming! MS..........Modesto, CA

Ronnie's backer quit Scott 2 games winner for 2 dimes - don't know what was on the rail. Whoever quit had to pay $500 quit money. There was almost as many people watching that as the ring game. Lot's of $100-$500 action. Hillbilly barked at Marquez to play for 2-3 thowsaand and Marco accepted for a dime a set but Hillbilly apparently couldn't find a backer or did find an easier game as he never came back.

I won $10 in short rack one pocket and lost $60 to Billy "Banks" (my nickname for him) from California.

Wait Wait - newsflash Efren and Joyner are matching up 8/7 for 5 DIMES as we speak - more later.

:-))

John,
How did you do against Mike Lebron? Have they posted second round one pocket?

Poolplayer1877 - Which roadplayers were matched up and how did they come out? Again, thanks for the updates! MS

Danny "Kid delicious" Basavich was supposed to play Marcus chamat a set of nineball for 10 dimes, and play scott frost a set for 10 and someone had to win the money. On saturday night Frost and Chamat couldnt come up with the money. Does anyone know if this game ended up taking place??? And if anyone has any info on how the one pocket tourny is going, that would be appreciated.

The game with kid delicious hasn't happened. Efren beat Cliff. Andy F. beat Chris Bartrum a set for 5k or so. Neal Jacobs beat TJ for a few thousand playing banks. Cliff and Scott Frost played $200 a game one pocket 9-7 and broke even. Jimmy Mataya was playing $100 a game 10ball with some guy that I didn't know. I'm sure there was more going on but I couldn't watch everything.

Sarah

oh yea,

Efren played Ricky Byrd 9-3 and the break I'm not sure how it turned out. When I left this morning Ricky Byrd was playing Scott Frost 9-4 and the break for 500 a game.

Last night I won some playing 8 ball for 100 beans a game - Efen Beat Joyner for 10 dimes - one game took over an hour - I donated to the old poolpalyers association by playing LeBron like I never picked up a cuestick in my life.

I watched Andy and the banks winner playing one hole for somewhere arounf $1000 a game with who knows how much on the rail - TJ was covering ALL bets with what looks like a bottomless supply of bullets.

The matching up was just stone cold silly - something for everyone. Any shortstop could go broke just walking down the hallway.

John

Thanks John and Sarah. To give Joyner a ball and beat him Efren must be the best one pocketer on the planet
