Derby City thread for match updates/general discussion

Wow, Brumback's 3-2 win over Alex was a helluva match. Way to go John! You showed us how it's done once again!

Yup; two great players. But Brumback can be tough to watch with all the ups and downs and shaft wipings. On the other hand, he might make 15 in a row!

Very true. He was up and down so many times it made me nervous, and I was just watching the stream. But he sure came with big shots when it counted most.

It sure was, and I was lucky enough to have Shannon Daulton sitting next to me during the match. He offered a lot of insights to me regarding the play, and did so in a congenial manner. He'll be one of the guys I'll root for in the banks ring game this evening.

Alex pushed him to the limit, but John showed his pedigree in the closing stages of the match.

Get um Brandon!

Looks like Brandoncook26 survived and is going into round 4 in the banks. Get um son!

Edit: Brandon faces Darren Appleton next. Easy draw ha ha ha ha

is efryn at the derby

one pocket without him is
not the same for me

i think he is still the best

Looks like everyone named Shannon is still undefeated in the banks.

Murphey beat svb and the freezer. Purdy strong...

The 10-foot TV table is being taken out for 1-pocket and 9-ball, and coming back for the 10-ball.

Two 10-footers are in use for the straight pool.

No shit...just a little reminder of how good 'plays good' means.

Its hard for me to believe there is that much difference between Bartrams 10 ball game and SVB , CALLED 7 N FREE 9, all i can say is WOW, i do remember Vanover saying a very long time ago, that it doesnt matter how much weight the better player is spotting the weaker player most of the time, because the stronger player will take complete control over the table and just strangle the weaker player, but dam you would think once Bartram won a game he would be able to control the game only having to get to the 7, i just dont understand some things, especially when things seem easier then they really are, pool can seem tricky at times!

Iam thinking we havent seen the last of this match up just yet! if it does go down again i will bet all i have (can afford) on Bartram, it hasnt sunken all the way in yet!

It still boils down to who breaks the best. Those extra balls don't mean anything if he doesn't break as good as Shane.

Just got home, Jeannete is in action on big truck's stream... Singing while she's running out... This guy has to be steaming by now lolz...

Btw, I would've also went broke betting on smooth criminal with that game...

Just wanted to give brandoncook26 his prospers. His banks match went 3-1, but each game he lost went 4-4 in the ball count. Brandon has put a lot into his game over the past several years and it shows. Its nice to have him as a bud and a sparring partner. Again, well done sir!

I'll be heading to the DCC for some afternoon action. I'll try to provide updates so long as my phone has juice...

Yes, the 10 Ball break is HUGE, and actually makes the game much easier than 9 Ball.

Does anyone know what the Sunday afternoon / evening schedule is for accu-stats ppv? When I went to register, it only went up to 1:00. I won't be home until later, so interested to know what the afternoon / evening is.

Thanks!
