I am starting a new thread call Design Your Dream. I am offering the opportunity for anyone, player, cuemaker, collector, interested party to design the cue of their dreams. I will make it free of charge no matter what the price.

The rules are simple:

Present your design online on the AZ Billiards Main forum or the Cue and Case Gallery forum.

No gold, diamonds or other precious stones.

The design must consist of the usual cue materials. wood, ivory, silver, etc.

It can be as plain or as fancy as you like.

After a certain period, I will pick the 5 top designs.

Anyone that submitted a design can then vote for the design they like best.

I will make that design and present it to the winner at no charge.

Oh, yeah...I'm SOOOOOOOOOO in on this.

Will draw something up and post it. Gonna have to use a ruler, though...can't draw anything resembling a straight line without it.

Your design needs to be presented as a sketch or drawing on the forum so that everyone can see it.

Dream Cue Design

Oh Yea, great idea!

I like the idea of a sketch and better yet only hand sktechs to be allowed, no CAD, no aid of a straight edge, no color.

Just a black and white pencil sketch of a cue design like it was done in the past, how many cues were sketched on the back of a napkin, now that's a challange that will test anyone!

Design your dream

When you start can you set a rule of sketches only? This will cut down on the stuff you will have to go through and the shameless people that will copy and "bump" their ideas continuously.

Your design can be a sketch or a cad drawing. It won't make a difference.
The design intent will come through. Polished designs will not get preference.

deadline

i'm the kind of guy that needs a deadline to mark off on my calendar, not to mention i'm sure that there will be several other people out there that wondering as well.

would it be sometime within the next week? month?

gotta sharpen my pencil......actually, maybe get one first.

I asked the same question in the other thread. Mr Stroud said the deadline is November 5, 2010.
