Anyone that submitted a design can then vote for the design they like best.
Bill,
A quick question/comment. If anyone who submitted a design can vote, do you think each person is going to vote for their own submission? Just a thought.

No. I will be picking just 5 of the designs to vote on.
Where is your design?
Bill Stroud
Ok Bill… here is my design. For me, it is only fitting that you are putting on this contest, as your cues were what got me into this hobby back in the early 90's. I still have all the John Wright pictures, and could not wait to receive them each time to see what new amazing Joss West cues he had received. I know this sounds like I'm buttering you up, but it is the absolute truth.
My design idea came from our favorite family vacation spot. We cannot wait to go on vacation each year and experience the ocean and beach, ships on the horizon at sunset, and palms tree silhouettes in moonlit, starry skies at night.
Thanks for this great opportunity and it really got my creativity juices flowing. My whole family got involved once I got this idea going.
Good luck to all who enter!

I decided to throw up a new design. My other was one I have had on paper for a few years. Just tried something out of the box and hope it's doable.
Ebony and highly figured cocobolo or goncola alves
The ebony trimmed with red and green.
Silver vines snaking around veneers to give a depth effect, capped with silver leaves
The design of wrapping the vines around the points and veneers will be at the cue makers discretion depending on the workability.
Weight under 20oz if possible.
Shaft: 12.5mm
Tip: Triangle or Talisman, also like kamui brown or everest
This cue will be played with so balance is important, hopefully applicable with choice of woods.
This is my entry and thanks for the opportunity.
The vines are more of a consistent thickness but do vary from thick to thin a little, the picture below shows them thinner than intended. That will be at the craftsman discretion.
Bill not sure I have ever seen you do a butterfly splice, I could use a full splice design for this concept if need be.
I was going to submit something for you mr stroud but I was so excited about what I drew out that I just had to make it when it get better. I'm out of the hospital for a while and when I can get around to be able to work in the shop I want to build my design. I'm sorry for not submitting something for you like I had pmed you about. But its nice to see so many nice things on here. I only see one I like or think is something different. That would have to be the one with the lines all over the place.
Also what are your criterias of picking the cues designs you like for voting?
Anyways good luck everyone.
I do like what I see!
I was just told that Bill and Thomas Wayne are friends, and that TW made a puzzle cue. But I've had this design in my head for a long, long time.
Here's my attempt:
