Gonna take a small road trip this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Which city is better in terms of weekly tournaments and action?

Detroit has plenty of tournaments. A few big tables, a bunch of bars. Plenty of action.
Forget Cleveland, Pittsburg has some action.

You got 1P action from me

Try

Do you know if they run any weekly tournaments in Erie? Looks like Gold Crown billiards is a nice place. Any action there?

I am not sure abt. Weekly tournaments but they have one of the best quarterly tournaments around. As far as action I know it has to be better then Cleveland.

Hmmmm.

We know economically Detroit is very bad atm.

So history says the poolrooms are full.

I'd be careful though in the streets.

Yeah that's the only thing stopping me cuz I'm going alone and don't know the area. Hopefully I can find someone local there to steer me around a bit.

There are tournements almost every night of the week in the Detroit area. On monday night the Blue Diamond in detroit usually would have plenty of action.

I spend summers back near Pittsburgh and visit most of the pool halls while i'm back but not much of a gambler but I like watching the match ups.

Not sure about tournaments, Breakers in Pittsburgh usually has some action going on, and if there is nothing going on there, Steel City Billiards is about a ten minute drive down the road. I would think there is still action there even though Shane Jackson recently sold the place.

If your traveling from Pittsburgh to Erie, you should hit up Ice Breakers in Youngstown. Its just right off of interstate 80 and might be an hour out of your way off of 79. Always seen action going on there on one of there 4 9 footers or 12 bar boxes.

Never went to Detroit so cant really comment on that and never been to NY, but next year is NY. No pool though, just to have fun and take my boys site seeing.

No one goes to Detroit...................

However the Action is at Hall of Fame in Waren every day. Some action at the RAC in Livonia. Monday night at Blue Diamond, ok that is Detroit, but its usually happening on Mondays.

Gold Crown Billiards is a nice place.
Breakers in Pittsburg is super nice with Diamond tables.
H.O.F. has 18 GC4's, bar boxes, and two Diamonds.

I guarentee there's more action in Detroit area than the other towns your considering.
