Diamond 7ft or 9ft

Been pondering this one for awhile. Getting rid of my Brunswick 9 foot. (not a GC)

Just not sure if I should get the Diamond 7 foot or 9 foot.

Now, most leagues in the burbs all play on 7 foot except a few in the burbs. Right now I play on both.

But state and national tourneys are all 7 foot diamonds or valleys

But here is the kicker, if I get the 7 foot diamond, I will have room for a 7 foot valley as well.

So, it's either one 9 foot Diamond or two 7- footers, one diamond and one valley ?

Any thoughts ??

If it were me, I would get the 9 footer. I once had a Diamond Pro 9' and it was the greatest table ever. I'll get another one someday.
 
go 9 ft.. 7 ft players sometimes don't like playing on 9 ft tables, most 9 ft players have less problem playing on 7ft tables. both good to play on, just slightly different game.

where I play in the Chicago burbs, Shooters in Grayslake, they have 16 or 17 new Diamond 9 ft tables and 6 or 7 7ft Diamonds. and one Valley bar box, I believe.
 
Get the 9ft Diamond RJ. There are more and more 7 ft tables everywhere you look these days.. remember to get the blue label rails...

I agree withe lakeman77. Go 9ft. Then you have the real deal . I find it a Easier transition to the small table from a larger one but not the other way around .
 
My thoughts are that you could look at it more than one way. It would seem that the transition from a 9' table to a 7' table would be an easy one in regards to the shots not being as long in cases but on the other hand, no matter which size table you are playing on the balls are still the same size. Therefore when you are playing on a 7' table, you have the same size balls and the same number of balls in a smaller area so it's harder to move the cue ball around the table than it would be on a 9' table.
Maybe try playing on 9' for a couple of weeks and then go to a 7' and see how easy and quick of a transition it is for since that's what you will doing if most of your tournament or league games are played on a 7' table. Just a thought.
 
I vote 9-footer also.
It's easier to move down rather than up.

...and get the one-piece slate
 
As much as I like the BB I would get the 9' Diamond because you play on both 7' and 9'. Going from 7' to 9' is not too much of a problem. Getting the 7' you may pick up bad habits that you can get away with on most 7' tables, but on a 9'. Johnnyt

I'm not totally against just playing on 7 footers going forward. At 51, the eyes really like the barbox a little better. But at same time, right now going from 9 foot playing on the bb seems like a breeze :)

PS: I do have room for the 10 foot as well. Shall I go up another foot :)

like a one-piece.

did they let you pick the installer ?? They deliver and install right from the factory.

Inquire about the steel plate...Glen may have trained someone there.
I've only bought two Diamonds used, so I don't know.

If you buy a new diamond with three piece slate it will come with the steel plates to hold the seams together already as well as the leveling system built in. After seeing the steel plates in action they are the shizzle.
