My table was just recovered yesterday by Donny Wessels of West State Billiards in Fullerton, CA. I can't tell you how pleased I was with the results. He put on all new Simoniz 860 HR cloth and re-leveled the table, all in three hours.

By the way, Donny gave full credit to Glen Hancock for training him some years back. Donny has a very busy schedule at work and can only do one or two jobs like this a month. I highly recommend him if you have a Diamond table. His helper Jason, who he is training now, is a deaf mute who reads lips. Great to see Donny giving him a chance to have a profession. But that's the kind of guy Donny is, a real man with a good heart. Thanks Donny Wessels! :thumbup:

Table

Beautiful table Jay.

I played on an old Diamond at the Down Low in Chico that Glen had rebuilt and it is the best playing table in Northern California IMO.

He also has rebuilt a few Gold Crowns up there at a room called the Oasis and put a similar leveling system on them that Diamond has on their tables.

Looks nice. Paul Smith and his son Steve from Diamond just recovered my table on Tuesday right after the Expo with 860HR and did a perfect job. Table plays lightning fast and true. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Donny is a good guy. Knows his business and takes care of his customers. Thumbs up for Donny and West State Billiards. Not too sure about the doo rag in photo 1 though Donny.

I'm very, very proud of how Donny has turned out as a table mechanic, and even more proud of him working his way into West State Billiards, and following my lead in being willing to teach other table mechanics how to improve their skills in order to provide better work for their customers. Donny has done what I could never do, and that's settle down to one place and be the best he can be, to better serve his area of service, and his crew of help, I just can't say enough about them either, they all are the best help/support group of guys I've ever had the privilege of meeting with, as well as working with.
