diamond system - where?

Would really like to finally learn this system... can anyone recommend some books, videos, etc which cover it well? There is a section in 'how to play your best straight pool' which I own, but there has to be something more extensive out there showing the calculations and what not...

Bob Byrne's first book. "Byrne's New Standard Book of Pool and Billiards'.

In the 3 Cushion section. More than you will ever need to know.

For written explanations, get Bob Byrne's books as mentioned before. Among other things that some writers tend to leave out, Byrne tells you when the (many) systems may not work and how to adjust them. He has three books that cover systems: "Standard Book of Pool & Billiards", "Advanced Technique", and "Wonderful World of P&B".

If you don't already know it I highly recommend learning the plus 2 system. Both Bob Jewett and Dr Dave have excellent explanations.


It is easy to learn and it helped my game a lot.

IMO, excellent DVDs covering various diamond system for both kick and banks shots are:

VEPS IV and VEPP-IV​

These DVD also cover when and how to make adjustments to system-derived aims (which aren't always correct).
