Diamonds Action

The CJ of ten years ago would have been the favorite. But he has never regained that form he had when he was traveling the country, playing super high (25 to 50K sets), and beating everyone, Efren included.

Although John may be a little rusty now, I still see him as the favorite playing 9-Ball against most anyone. He handles the bet pretty good too.

CJ's duel with DJANGO, in conjuction with other facters, could have been stroke altering events.

Enough of the trivial pool discussions, does anyone know if CJ is still married to that smokin' blonde?

I saw CJ play in action live twice. Once in the late 80s in Miami vs Tom Brown (I think Tommy came up one set) and once in 92 against Bustamente and he got the 8 and lost for 5k in Chicago. After the Chicago set was over the corporation backing Busty were all trying to woof up another set with CJ's backers. Right in the middle of it all was Billy Incardona, who told them pretty plainly..."Well the problem see is you guys have a ball running machine...". :p

Jay who did CJ get down with for 25 and 50k?

How do you watch the streaming video, i click on it and nothing happens????
I'm having problems too. I selected "camera 1" (from the left menu) and "one camera" from the upper menu and all it says is "loading image" for a few minutes before aborting.

This should be a great resource once the bugs are worked out. Others were commenting about their limited ability to support concurrent viewers.

Getting streaming video to work will require the stream be first sent to a third party who can in turn propagate the stream out to dozens of concurrent users. If Diamonds is using even a high bandwidth DSL/Cable account...they will need quite a bit more bandwidth than is usually available for such a connection. Each user can easily draw at 1mb these days, and most DSL accounts rarely go above 10mb and thats usually the downspeed and not the upspeed which is usually less. Unless they are running a 100mb line out of Diamonds, this wont work unless a third party ISP/stream provider is involved.

U-man,
I have no idea what you just said (I think it had something to do with computers or something), but DAMN, nice story about C.J......you were lucky to have seen such action. Truly a heavyweight bout.

P.S. - I was fortunate to see C.J. play George Breedlove about 1 1/2 years ago at the DCC IPT qualifier. In an hour and a half of eight ball; neither missed a ball; and first player to the table with an open shot ran out EVERY game....some truly heroic offensive play. Damn the IPT for folding; we could have seen some great players back in the game.

Yeah...uuhhmmm...what uwate says goes for me too...i guess...

Well said Jay. The CJ of old was one tough customer. John is close to the top of his game after winning the US Open last year and I watched CJ at that tournament and he's rusty after laying off for 10 years!

If CJ is used to playing for those numbers 1/10 of that shouldn't be a problem but I'm still betting on rusty SCHMITTY!
