i know dick has health issues i was just wondering if he was ok.???
I got an email from Dick either this week or late last week. As far as I know everything is fine, but I've never spoken to him in my life. I suspect I'll be in contact him early next week. I should have everything ready that I need to send to him by then.

Dick has always been one of my favorite posters. Always ready to help most anyone with the straight poop on construction, cue repair an machinery tweeking. His posts have always been to the point very informative an no BS. Maybe hes just on vacation or catching up on some work. I sure hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just try to explain My reasoning to him, and normally It's left at that.
I'll just say this, everybody and their brother is on here now, but back when, he was one of the few that were open about his methods, and tried to help the newbees improve their technics. If it weren't for Him sharing info back then, I bet alot of people here wouldn't have such an abundance of resources to help them through the hurdles. Think What You want, but just keep that in mind.
He was contributing on here when very few others were, or were even members on this site.
I stayed out of all the arguments that took place, but the way I saw It was mutual combat, and I did not see him being the only guilty party, and It would be a shame to see Him quit posting. I think it would be more of a loss to others then to himself.
If People come on here balls to the wall, with BS, and can't even atleast admitt to It when they know they are in the wrong, then they are gonna get hazed. I did at one time, and so have others. You pay your dues, take your knocks, and move on, and believe It or not the same people that were involved in the hazing, may eventually become good friends, and share a wealth of knowledge that You won't always read in these threads.
Everyone is different and sees things from a different view point, but from Mine, I was not born with a silverspoon, and the strange thing is some people in My life, I was either introduced to through argument or in some cases actually threw down against, and they ended up being some of My best friends.
With some people you are only gonna receive due respect when You earn It.
Off hand I can't think of any advice I have received from Dick that was total BS. Most of It was right on the money, and I found this to be true through My own experiences.
I'm not calling anyone out here, and not refering to any one person, so please no one take anything I have mentioned personally. I just think it would be a shame if he was run off of here. That's all I'm saying.

I agree with all you've said Greg. It is a small, select few that have offered as much as Dick over the years, and while he may be rough around the edges at times, he has ALWAYS been honest, and straight forth, and not one to put up with, what appears to be BS. Even when he has been incorrect, he has been man enough to admit, acknowledge, and move on. Unlike a few newcomers that have 'graced' us with their presence. Some people have made a 'name' for themselves lately by calling out people like Dick on false pretenses, for the sole purpose of trying to look like David going against Goliath, and hoping to find sympathy so they can sell a few cues, and unfortunatley, some have developed followers that really don't know the real truth about whom they follow.
