Dick from rhn cues

Straycat said:
so joey why dont you pack ur bags and hitch a ride with him?
Because I have my own ride.
Oh, Stray, lemme take a wild guess.
Your "girlfriend" is an " FBI."
You're "friends" with Searing.
You have a "college degree" even though somewhere it reads "some college" in your profile.

There hasn't been any three page long threads featuring condesention, ridicule, and grade school antics in the last week.

So, no, apparently Dick has not been posting lately. ;)

It might also have something to do with the fact that He and a few other of his notorious friends are on my ignore list, so they don't have me to directly insult anymore !!!

I wish I would have thought of this sooner... it sure has been nice not to have "dickie" and "little joey" annoying me with sarcasm every time I post !!!

Jeesh, maybe because your threads were deleted.
And you were restrained from stirring the pot some more.

Dick helped me when I was a new cuemaker and I appreciate all he has done for countless cuemakers. He did it at a time when very few cuemakers would help out a newcomer.

By his example I have also gone out of my way to help new cuemakers as a way of paying back.

He has had a very positive influence on me and on cuemaking as a whole.

Dick - we miss your contributions. Don't pay attention to a few "neverwillbes". Keep sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us.

Good Cuemaking,
By his example I have also gone out of my way to help new cuemakers as a way of paying back.
anyone i know???? ;)

This thread started as real concern and like so many other threads, it has found it's way to the shitter. That's a surprise.
I think the mods, should close this section for a couple of months until people learn to appreciate why it was added to begin with.

Mike, I may be partially at blame here, and if so, for that I appologise to whoever feels that way, but I do aggree with you. I use to look foreward to reading the forum everyday, everytime I had the chance, and alittle bit of horseplay is one thing, but Lately I have found Myself coming on here, seeing all that was taking place, and just closing out My screen. I keep hoping things will go back to the way they were, but looks like the same ol thing.

I truelly hope Dick is OK, It's guys like You and Him, that I am very thankfull for. I've seen that He's been logged in since this thread started, so I assumed that he had just had enough of all the bickering.

I know I have not always been an angel Myself, but everything that has been going on is even below My worse level.;)

By the way You would be one of those guys on top of My list too, and I hope all is well in Your life these days.:)

Then we'd have one winner. The guy who took it to the shitter.
Dick hasn't posted in a while and he's still getting attacked.
One is an obvious alias to me.
As if taking out the vowels and bad-spelling can hide his identity.
Btw, Dick is ok as far as I know.
Just not posting.

Greg and Joe, your both good guys and assets to the forum, Maybe I just take it to serious, but one thing is true, more and more cue makers are not posting and that's a real shame because this was added to:
Help and answer real questions,
Educate the general public that Cue making, if done correctly, is serious business.
To maybe define some of the riddles we have to answer on a daily basis when dealing with woods of different origins,
That nothing, when it comes to cues, is as easy as it seems,

I can't think of two makers who do things the exact same way,
Can't think of one maker who can make enough cues to supply everyone and their individual tastes.
Can't think of one single cue that is absolutely perfect in appearance, balance and playability to satisfy every player out there.

If you choose to sell and advertise your cues, show enough class to do it without comparing it to someone else.

I'm done rattling, for those who matter Please forgive me, For those who just want to give me a vowel, Respectfully, PLEASE P-ss, -ff

Very true. I have yet to build a cue that would suit everyone. Infact, only built one cue that really felt like It suited My own playing style to perfection, but unfortunately that one was sold before It was even finished or I would have kept it for Myself. Heck I can't even build 2 cues that hit just alike yet:D And I could forget trying to compare them to anyone else's given those facts. Not that I would want to though. I actually prefer to just build cues and let people shoot with them before deciding if It's for them or not, but the problem with that is most people want to have some say so as to what goes into the design.

I certainly have no desire to advertise at this time either. I probably turn down or shy away from more jobs then I am actually willing to take on, because frankly I can't keep up with what work I need to do or get started on, and those are all from the local market, and word of mouth, that I do this on the side. That doesn't mean I have any issues with anyone trying to make a living, providing that is done in a respectfull manner, just that I can honestly say that's not My purpose for being here. I don't build enough cues to need any extra outlet for sales.

As far as a perfect cue, looks can be deceiving with some cues, but I have yet to build one that I thought was perfect, and dought I ever will. I have a habit of pointing out any little flaw in the cues I build, no matter how small or large It may be. Even though I try to reach perfection, like I mentioned, I have yet to do that even one time in My eyes. I keep trying though. It's like the impossible dream:D

I also wish we could just stay with the serious discusions, without all the name calling & bashing that's went on, and Is one reason I have tried to stay out of all of this stuff lately. The other reason Is I just don't have time for It.

I hope everyone can look past there differences and finally move on. I Have had a few makers tell me that they didn't like to post on here because of the argueing & bashing that goes, and this isn't just recently. I've heard this a few times in the past, before any of this new stuff happened.

I'm starting to sound like Rodney King now, and believe Me that's not in My nature to cry out for peace:D

I'm done, Take care everyone,

Greg
