Did Diamond redesign the Professional?

Was watching the WPBA tour championships on ESPN today and Mitch said they were playing on a Diamond Professional, but the table definitely looked different than the Pro that I'm used to seeing - the one currently shown on Diamond's website. This one had different legs, almost a cross between the Professional and the Pro-Am.

The tables with diamondwood have this build. That's what they were using up in Lincoln City. The one's you are used to seeing with the rounded corners are made of real wood.

So the Professionals that are made with Diamondwood don't have the same support system (legs and feet, not talking about the frame) as the regular Professional? The ones I'm used to seeing (the one on the Diamond site) have sort of the Gold Crown look to the legs: sort of bulkhead supports with metal feet. This table had the 4 square wooden legs coming down not exactly like, but more similar to, the Pro-Am.

The Diamond Professional is still the same table it's been for the last 11 years that I know of. There is a second style of legs now offered for that model, which are the more tapered ProAm style legs with the same adjustable leg levelers used on the ProAms. The only other change is the playability, rails have been calibrated, and of course either real wood finished rails or the Dymondwood finished rails.

Nothing to do with it. It is an option to get the 2 different styles, the legs like the Pro-Am as Donny posted, or the Pedestal type like the standard Professionals have.

I may be misinformed but I recall being told that the angular corners are a diamondwood thing. I didn't know you could get either leg style with the angular corners. It looked to me like the legs shown in this thread go with that style and if you get the rounded corners you get real wood and would then have the Brunswick looking legs. I guess you can order up any combination of corners, wood and legs?

Your talking about rails and Mitchell is talking about legs. As for the rails, if the rails are wood, then they have round corners if they are dymond wood then they have angular corners.

I guess I thought that the square legs in question "went" with the angular dymond wood. Hadn't seen any wood tables with the round corners and square legs or angular tables with the rounded legs. IMO this will look silly but I guess it's an option if a guy wants it that way is what you're saying?
