Did I get moved on???

Yea... I know. Glad it was only $50. But that $50 he saved will cost him the hundreds or thousands I would have lost to him over the years... oh darn.

That's a good way to look at it... i think???

Oh god so the guy is basically saying the "+2" isnt the same as the "+3", I'd say if he's big enough for an ass whoopin he deserves one. Anything over 220lbs, you should hit him in his mouth. Under that just call him out on it and then move on. That's foul shit.

Oh yeah no question you got moved on.

Yea, I know. It was a total move. Didn't think he would do it over $50... and at the same time, I'm not gonna hit anyone over $50.

He says he made an announcement before the tournament that "if Earl wins the first two rounds as a +2, then he's getting bumped to a +3". Of course, I wasnt at the tournament so I didn't hear this announcement.

But that was never discussed when we made the bet. But its basically locking up his bet. If Earl wins the first two rounds, its a draw because now he's a +3. If Earl loses in the first two rounds, he wins. So he can either win or push and I can either lose or push... how strong is that???\

OH well, you live and learn.

It is however pretty funny that even though you were being cool about not naming the TD, someone called him out for you!

Over $50 it does not sound like it was a good move on his part. Especially knowing that you like to have some colorful bets from time to time.

Yup, I'd say it's a move, and a stupid one at that.

Has he given you a good reason why he wont pay?

Make it known to the others in the area about this welcher. Where I come from you can sometimes get away with that once..................once!

Actually, the info was out there. I just finished the job. If we are talking about the recent Super Tournament at Steinway, then, the TD was Finn. Everyone knows that.

I dont have a dog in this fight, so, it's not like I have any axes to grind, lol.

Make him pay.

Ask him for it. Not very time you see him and not right
away either. Make him wonder, every time you are around,
when you are gonna walk up and ask him for the 1/2 yard
he owes you.

If he asks what you are talking about explain in full
and loudly enough for all in earshot to hear. If he wants
to argue walk away.

Make him pay for keeping your $50.00.

Well, I was just contacted by the tournament director about this thread and he's offered to pay my entry into the next tournament (half the bet). Good enough...

Cool, that's a start I guess. Did he ever offer a good reason why he didn't want to pay up? I only ask because I figure there may actually be a good reason and we haven't heard the whole story.

I'd say "Not good enough". How am I going to go out and get a steak dinner with a free entry worth half of what you owe?

make sure when you cash in the next event you give him half since he is putting you in. lol

Actually, make sure he puts the money IN the tournament to put you in, and doesn't just throw you in for free so it doesn't cost him a dime.

Seen enough tournament directors just throw themselves or other people in the mix, for free, and not pay anything.
When people want to add up the money because they were suspicious, they ban them from the tournament.

Make sure the money comes out of their pocket.

I mean, if they were perfectly willing to pull the move and try and stiff you initially, who knows what else they are capable of.
