Difference In A $100 Cue And A $10,000 Cue

I have a mint condition New Scruggs
I have a TAD Cue
I have two Mobley Cues
I have a Bludworth Sneaky
The Bludworth that i use, and it hits better then all the above to me. The hit of a cue is different to everyone and some feel better to some than others, a good hit is what one individual likes for himself. Expensive cues do not "Hit" better, thats a myth, its whatever feels good to you and how you play.

I'll buy that!

Cost me around $75 dollars to make a cue that hits as good as a Meucci.
My new Joss cues that cost $150 also hit pretty good.
So..... you'll make me a cue for $75?

Where can I buy one of those $150 Joss Cues?

Thanx

The question put forth was......
List prices and justify cost of inexpensive, quality cues.
Please.

Where to buy new Hueubler?

My Huebler SP is one of the best cues for me. $100

People should be able to spend their money however they want.
But not if they do not know they are wasting it.

Where can I buy one of those Huebler SP's for $100, new?

Nobody argues that a $10,000 cue is inherently a better playing cue than a $100 cue. Nobody. Ever.

Why do people start threads like this? To have phantom arguments? Yay, you win against a non-opponent. Masturbation can be fun.

Sorry, but everyone else who starts one of these tired posts, you're not the first or even the twentieth (fiftieth) to start this phantom argument. Everyone agrees. Nobody ever disagreed. You can't win because somebody else won before you, even though nobody was actually arguing.

I'll wait for another 3 months until someone brings up this new topic. Because it's so new. Soooooo new!!!

Freddie <~~~ hooray for expensive cues!!!

"I can run out against the AZB Argument Ghost!"

The shaft came a bowling alley shaft from an old military base bowling alley that closed.
The cue was really heavy and long. The shaft was really skinny too b/c Efren liked skinny shafts then. The checker rings were painted on . They looked like painted on dice. It had a steel joint and Philippine ebony forearm.
It favored Efren's stroke slip.

Today, Efren plays with a much lighter and shorter cues. Likes thicker shafts now too.
Efren finally sold that old cue b/c it already had a rattle and it was warped.

I remember hearing all that before. In fact it may have been from you.

Thank you. :)

Most likely a Valley Supreme?

There is a huge difference between the quality and how well the tool does the job, that is an extremely poor analogy.
I think you are agreeing with me.
Most times, quality is better than paying the least amount.

Like Snap-on and Harbor Freight?
Both are Tools.
BTW - I'm a tool.

Both cues and guitars are tools, at times esthetically pleasing tools.

Oh yeah! The main difference is quality
of construction, and materials used. Plus, the name. Lol.
Don't expect a Kia Rio to do the job of a F450.

If you are good enough to be able to know the difference between a $100 and $10,000 anything, and can afford it, you should use the $10,000 thing.

Many pro players will sound good using a $1,000-$3,000 guitar/amp/bass/cello, whatever but many use $10,000 to many 100,000 or even millions of dollars instruments. Heck there are violin BOWS that sell for $100,000 or more. https://theviolinchannel.com/beares-auction-world-record-violin-bow-huberman-tourte/

that's the point. A plain jane for $1000 or a custom job full of ivory and silver with intricate inlays for $10,000, made by the same cuemaker, should play the same, no? That's not the same with musical instruments.

The $10K cue is not a better playing cue, it's just has hundreds of hours of labor, and high end materials. The materials are not "better" just more expensive. And thus, usually made for the serious collector, not the serious player. And that's fine, folks collect all kinds of things, nothing wrong with collecting something you can actually use. But, no, I'm not using a $10K on a Valley table anytime soon ;)

Buy a 4 to 5 hundred dollar predator that has hardly any deflection and call it a day. Get an Ikon 2 without all the fancy inlays for around 500 bucks or a sneaky pete. Then after some practice you will be running all over guys with 4 and 5 thousand dollar sticks that deflect a mile with the smallest amount of english. Been there and done that expensive sticks sit in the safe I play with predator end of story.

Buy a 40 to 50 dollar Preoaidr that has hardly any deflection and call it a day. I play with Preoaidr end of story.
Preoaidr is the best.
Put away the rest.

I hope yui are joking.

I think most of us here would avoid supporting counterfiet- yes, imo ther is NO differerentiation created by spelling change- goods.

I have a bit of exposure to chinese fakes and in mh experience, while appearance of quality may exist, the pieces are not made with quality materials, or to the specs of the products' creators.

Will those parts wear out 100X faster?

That is, you can replace the $100 bass guitar 100 times before it costs you as much as the $10K one at the start.

But at the end the 10k one would still be worth ~ 10k, the other would be worth 1/3 to 1/2 of $100 if still new, and you'd be out the other 9.9k
