Difficult Shot...Re. Miscue Limit

Here’s the illustration referenced above, comparing tip offsets and contact points for center ball, 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 of maximum offset. I think it illustrates that the clearest way to describe tip position is contact point at fraction of maximum offset (i.e., “1/3 right”, “1/2 top left”, “maximum draw”, etc.).

Much clearer. Maybe you can indicate graphically how the contact orbits as english is applied.
 
It's good to know 10 and 16 years later, still nobody agrees on what one tip of english is.

In over twenty years on the Net I can't think of one thing we debate that we have ever had a large shift of public opinion on!

One trick I used long ago that would work even better with CF shafts, I put a temporary mark on my ferrule and rotated it to indicate the true contact point on the cue ball.
