I made a bet with some one here, a respected member on the board who has the means to pay me on a small bet and he hasnt and ignored a PM(I hope it is a mistake or something), he is a friend, I PM'ed him and didnt get a reply. I have the whole conversation in a PM saved and now for bet I have to make something public I would rather keep private, I only bet half what he wanted to bet, a sweat bet. He said he would take care of it in a few days, its been since the US Open, I hope it got lost in the mail. After I made the bet with him I got a call from some one else who I bet alot with and I was paid ASAP just like I pay, my reputation is worth more than I'd ever bet. Infact the guy I made the large bet with has a huge reputation and that is why he is stand up guy, you know who you are, and thank you-your one of my best customers ;). Respect.

Please settle the debt and I'll forget that this happened and we'll be friends, OK. You know who you are, lets not let this ruin a good thing OK? I still want to be your friend, we spoke on the phone just before the match went off. I dont like to lose friends we have alot in common. Your better than that you know it, I do to. Just PM me or settle it, thats all. and were 100%. Fair enough? Respect.

$500, and it's no chump change, at least for me...

i agree, sorry if I offended you by saying its chump change, i'll change my post, there was a time in my life a $50 bet was huge....sorry,

I have experienced that when people do something small, they get small results. Do something BIG and get BIG results, hence the little bet did not pay where the BIG bet did.

People act like "it is no big deal" so they don't handle their business. Foolish I think. Acting like that can kill a reputation and loyalty that takes years and years to develop.

Hopefully the stiffer's computer is busted, yet that is still no excuse. If it were me, I'd be breaking my neck to find a way and get you paid, puter or no puter.

I'm pertty sure the person will pay their dues. Jus gotta have faith. Seems to be that a lot of people are loosing faith and heart:( .

he has been on 2 times since I PM'ed him and he has the $$$. Like I said I hope its lost in the mail and he didnt see my PM. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for a couple days then I'll have to post the whole conversation in the origonal PM I saved. The big bet guy is solid has been for 40 years thats why he is respected, I will not say who it is but EVERYONE knows him.

If its not settled or I'm at the very least contacted by friday I will make it knownvto all on every pool board on the net, like I said I truely hope its a mix-up.

If he wants he can put it on Jay Helferts pay-pal account, I trust Jay. Infact I still trust who I bet with, I hope he dosent let me down, our friendship is worth more to me than the bet.
 
I don't think it's Jay but if it is it would be understandable.

Rumor has it that he was reunited with his love child of the 60's during his current trip to the Phillipines which put even a greater strain on his frenetic schedule. Somehow his boy was able to focus on the task at hand and vanquish the defending champion from the venue.

Per very dubious sources he planted much more than "interest in pool" seeds while hustling in the British Isles during his youth. Father and son couldn't deny the obvious as soon as they laid eyes on each other.
